Saturdays Game

Whilst I'm in sensible mode...a few thoughts on Saturdays game without camel drivel...

 

A good stiff test from Thame who were well versed in the arts of dealing with their own very bumpy pitch....nice lads and very competitive....until we scored the goal I actually thought that we just had the edge and were just a little to strong for them at the back which negated their long ball tactics...

 

Vinnie and Jonah were a serious nuisance all through the game and had their bench in a nervous state throughout (I was standing with some of their coaching team)...

 

After we scored...well it could have been a lot more really but the game got bogged down in midfield and although there wasn't much in it they never looked troublesome and even the excellent free kick at the end was ably dealt with by Korky the Kat...so no doubt...a good all round performance...hard working teams (both of them) ...and we deserved the points....not many teams will go there and get anything and thats a fact...nice people at the club and a nice set up as well...credit to non league football and a monster crowd which was a pleasant surprise...add the weather....what more can you ask for....everyone else to fall by the wayside on the day...got that as well....great saturday.......
