Todays Circus/Boxing/Football match

Well if anybody would have said we would have got a draw today we probably would have taken it, but because of what happened at the end of the match and the equaliser with two minutes remaining I feel a bit gutted.

Started slowly and Bryan Hammatt pounced to scoe from close range, but after that we dominated the rest of the half without creating much.

Second half Gilkesy equalises at the far post (Come on!) then missed a couple of chances before Boot scores after a Gilkes corner was headed back by Hodges or Daly (can't remember).

Had futher chances through Williams, Hodges and ill boy Sammy after a great run.

Just before the end a ruck on the pitch and one of their players gets sent off. Ryan Spencer was lucky to stay on for us though as he seemed to throw a punch.

Two minutes before the end they play a high ball into the box - Blake comes and drops the ball at Hammatt's feet and he scores (insert swear words here). It was only their second shot of the match.

That was not the end though when they equalised their three decided we all wanted to see his fat [****!!****] and then their five kicks the ball at us which nearly hits a little kid and was rightly sent off.

Full-time whistle goes - another ruck with a Slough fan and a Hemel official after a tea was chucked over a hemel player apparently.

Just another quiet day for us Rebels really...

Yeah I believe so - I did not do the match report today. Mark did it and he should be able to confirm who it was. Yes three was a prat, but their five was the real idiot. Could have really hurt that little kid and he should be forced to apologise.

Shocking thing was though apparently Hemel are going to complain to the Ryman league about us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's up not useto having away fans at the ground. Maybe they should stick to playing Barton Rovers and co.

Alsotheir goalkeeper Darren Bonfield was a credit to their team as he tried to calm everyone down. Shame his kicking was crap though

A few points:

1) No stewards

2) The bar serving alcohol for the full 90 minutes = lots of drunk Hemel fans who did not know what was going on.

3) The assistant failing to act on Three's behaviour - a disgrace.

4) The Five - if that ball had struck a fan he would have committed an assualt. He should submit an open written apology.

5) The Three was the worst kind of creature I have ever seen at a football match in over 18 years of spectating.

6) The referree's report should make interesting reading.

7) The Club should take official steps to complain about the whole fiasco.

8) I feel like I have witnessed the death of the spirit of non-league football. I could cry.

9) Why did this happen? The match was played in a fair and competitive spirit. Very strange.

10) I was impressed by the club and its facilities, shame about the players (the goalkeeper excepted).

Complain about us?!! I've sent a letter of complaint to the League about their number 3. I didn't see what happened over by the tunnel but if anything comes of it, they should know it was the Hemel player that caused all the trouble.

Their number 3 showed his [****!!****] at least twice, and made a number of other obscence jestures , including Wan*er jestures and one that is difficult to describe other than to say it appeared to involve his piles--all this over a 5 minute period. He was obviously going overboard to wind up the fans due to the prolonged length of time the gestures covered. He succeeded. Felt sorry for a young Hemel Lad--only about 6 or 7 who was in tears at the end as he was caught up in the melee. Didn't feel sorry for most of the Hemel fans who frankly were well up for it, and not interested in calmimg things down. A few stewards being impartial would have helped enormously, but on the way out all I saw/ passed were the crew from the bar who weren't impartial at all "Why don't you lot F*** O**"

I don't think that either the number 3 or the club itself are used to playing in front of a crowd, and didn't have a clue how to behave.

Fergus Moore has no excuse - ex Stones player and use to big crowds. Apparently it all kicked off again in the car park after the game - anyone see it?

Shocking especially as Hemel had a load of kids there as well - i'm sure their parents will take them back after today's game - not.

Also one official decided it would be a good idea to grab Nigel and cluck him out even though he was leaving anyway - what was the point - it just kicked it all off again.

From what I saw in the car park, a Hemel fan made some comment to Alan, Amanda, Roger etc. about them getting back to their Sikh temple. I'm sure Roger will confirm the precise details but apparently it wasn't the first racist comment from their fans.

Quite on what basis are Hemel going to complain about us then? They should think themselves lucky that apart from a bit of swearing (as a result of the actions of THEIR players) there was no real trouble. There could have been a real incident today had Slough fans not been quite so restrained.

I think 8 bookings and two sent off for Hemel ....tells the story !

against one booking for Slough....

everyone in the crowd saw what number 3 was doing ! was it a surprise that something happened after the game !

NO !

but where were the stewards ???

Hemel really need to look at themselves before throwing stones in there own Green house !

The Slough Supporter although angry should never have thrown that cup of tea at the number 3 ....you lowered yourself to his level !! no excuses.....

How low could you get number 3 ??? a disgrace....

beyond the deepest Ocean......

cheers Chris

Well at least we know that with so many of us e-mailing the relevant people (the club and the Ryman league), the 2 players are probably not going to get away with it.

Shame about the result as well as off-field incidents. I really thought we were going to hold on to the 2-1 lead for a VITAL win. Slough totally outplayed Hemel for almost the whole game and only two good finishes from Hammatt denied us in the end. Sammy Sammy Sammy how did you not score that goal? Overall, a very nice day out. Good little football stadium with good facilities in pleasant surroundings.

It's not the end of the world though, if we win our next two, both at home, it should give us a little advantage over the others for the time being.

This bloke (http://www.hemeltownfc.com/Committee/photos/daveboggins.jpg) who is also their chairman was also stirring it up after the game.

No wonder they've got a bunch of animals playing for them.

Was surprised by the ground. Great acoustics coming out from the away support in the first half under that covered terracing behind the goal. Can we have some of that at a new stadium please!

I was at Hemel game today but didn't see much football but I did see a lot of head tennis and lets see how far I can kick a football, what a joke, neither of the teams should progress any further in non league football. I can see why they don't want you all in the Conference cos you're all no hopers.

good old mr anoy mouse.....what are you on about ?

don't want us there ? we have not applied for the second string to the conference mate ! our future is so delicate at the moment only the fool hardy would make such a choice, at the moment it is not right for us to apply ....

Beware.......at your peril if your not ready for it....it may just come back to bite you....like it has for a few ex conference clubs.....Merthyr Slough Bromsgrove Hayes Gateshead Kingstonian just to mention a few .....where the conference nearly or has pushed these clubs back to the brink.....

Its not all roses....in their Garden.....If Slough Merit promotion then so be it, and it is certainal not sour grapes...we had some great seasons in the conference and would like to do so in the future but only when this club has got a future and has sorted out its mess.....

Up the Rebels...........
