Could not agree more, but the trust prob have more of the facts, than the average fan, unless the trust has been sworn to keep this information secret, they claim (trust) they represent the true fan, do you not feel that the trust should be relaying these facts to the main stream supporter as the trust see it that is? the average fan is lacking the full truth (reasons) for this move by the board. If the board wants the backing of the fan, then its time to start feeding them information, and not keep them in the dark, like a load of mushrooms.

Surely the 'main stream supporter' could just join the Trust? And am sure the trust ARE real fans - who else would do so much for the club?
There has been a lot of stuff written since this news first appeared - I am sure there is a whole load still to be discovered!

Again I agree, but the only information we are getting at the moment is being fed to us via MyFC, do you feel thats right ?It would be nice to have a proper announcement explaining the reasons behind the move, from the fleet side of things.

Couldn't agree more!! If there is a real honest, good, valid reason for the move - what better opportunity than giving everyone the facts to see why this decision was (or had to be) made!

If they were that edgy they'd join the Trust, which is essentially the supporter's representation group, and go from there. Moaning on the terraces during the game with no follow-through surely indicates they can't be that concerned?

Moaning from the Terraces ? Surely not !!

I am not a Trust member or a member of MyFC ( sorry to repeat myself here !). However, for what it's worth, I will still be supporting my home town club as an invidual, with my own individual views ( moaning, positive, p*ssed, or otherwise !)

I am now in receipt of my XXL away shirt ( Thanks Brian ) which I shall proudly be wearing on Saturday ! I shall be having a few pre match beers as per the normal routine.

I have one question here ( :D).

I read on one ( or maybe more ) previous post about MyFC's power & decision making process which involves the "merchandise" avaiable in the club bar. Assume that once the sell out, sorry, takeover is complete, then they are at liberty to review the bar stocks on offer ? Will this be voted on by MyFC members in the true spirit ( ha !) of the venture ? In which case it may end up being the most diversely stocked bar in the region !!

I don't have a vote as a supporter, season ticket holder or ( current ) shareholder, but would advise against removing the Strongbow.....you can only push a man so far you know !!

Cheers,

beer

Why did the Trust feel they needed to vote on this issue ?

There must have been a whole lot more information divulged in the room than is in the public domain to enable a vote to be taken with any certainty, if not why vote. By doing so it would appear they have thrown their hand in unresevedly with MyFC when they had an opportunity to remain independant and a potential rallying point for the sceptical fan.

Surely a statement would have sufficed.

If we do vote on that, trust me that the Strongbow may actually have a bigger place at the bar.

And AFF, Bud and Fosters? Really... you're in the states, you could have picked worst ones to stick at the bar.

As the saying goes (at least here): Local bar, Local fare, Local drink.

And have that statement misrepesented in the press?

The Fleet Trust spokesperson (Jessica) even said in a statement that she wasn't going to talk to the press or release anymore statements, except for the outcome of the meeting.

It is possible to go along with MyFC and be skeptical...

If they are unanimously in favour of the deal then I would question their potential as a rallying point for sceptical fans.

If both the Trust and the board think this is the way for the club to progress then they should obviously be backing the takeover publicly.

Some people clearly won't be persuaded whatever the argument but the Trust and the Club need to swing some of us not sures by being positive.

No not the usual Myfc blurb, but a board announcement on the state of the club and the real reason why they have sold it to one person, yes one person!!!! its not 50, 30, 20, or even 5k of people that own MyFC, all those punters have done, is paid £35 to pay for a guy to have control of a football club, the punters have bought nothing, except for one share in a trust, the trust will then run the club, who is the trust run by ? who is the head person in the trust who owns it? and thats not its members!! they own nothing, but a share in a trust for the years that they have paid £35 they have purchased no more than a vote, co owners, your living in cuckoo land. So yes I want a statement from the board for the real reasons, for entering into this agreement. I will repeat it again, I desire the Fleet side of the matter not MyFC.
