It was a game that we didn't deserve to lose, so The Fridges' last minute goal was well justified.

But some comments on here are starting to worry me :

Evans and great pace are words that don't belong in the same sentence.

Why is Tos' slagged off so much...

Tostel was our only creative player on display and he did manage to get behind the no.3 on 4 or 5 occasions in the first half, but upon looking up had no options in the box. So had to attempt a trickier ball , which most times he pulled off.

When we bring on the beast , who could have at least attacked Tos' crosses , we took off Tos. Therefore our supply line dried up.

Could go on and on, but opening time is beckoning so, my last comment is about the attendance.

1017 ( But looked and sounded less !!) - pathetic at this stage of the season, we can keep on pledging as much as we like but , if we don't get the turnstiles clicking more at our home games, Andy will always be struggling with the budget.

I tend to agree with Super Daz - the finishing was the problem as much as anything. Che missed a header from Louie's good work on the left, and Jacko, Che and Benno all tried to squeeze shots in at the near post, rather than going across the keeper to the far post.

Francis also missed a real headed opportunity as well from no more than 5 yards (although I think we can forgive him that, given that it was his first game back, and he did get the equaliser).

Mind you, had they scored with that chance that hit the post immediately before Jacko hit the post at the other end, it would have been curtains for us.

They obviously came for a poiunt and relied on the break - I can only recall Wilko making 2 saves in the first half, and none in the second (the goal and the shot against the post were their only efforts, I believe).

And at least there were no bookings yesterday either.

I too thought White needed swapping earlier in the game - he has had 2 or 3 decent games - the Margate game, in particular - so he clearly has the ability - he's just far too casual.

The defence will still struggle without proper full backs - the 3 defenders yesterday were all more Central Defence, and Jacko is beeter going forward than defending on the left, as well.

I've got to agree with Wobbly the lack of support didn't help the team at all. For most of the game the whingers moaning at our players made more noise than anyone cheering them on.

Perhaps we should insist that all opposition teams play in yellow to wake our crowd up.

Nice to see Duku back, another heart stopping second half that's getting to be the norm lately, our finishing let us down badly today we need an out and out goalscorer, i am not happy with Ben White's contribution and he should have gone off earlier, he has to learn that we expect our players to have total commitment or he will go the same way as Hammid Barr, players like Mckimm & Owen will play their hearts out for the Fleet and both should have played unless Owen was injured, Louie Evans ran and ran today and held the ball up well, bit miffed as to no Skins as Jacko is better going forward and linked well once he came on, still a point will do although it has to be three off Morecombe and three off Kettering, a tough task but i am sure we can do it and please Fleet supporters dont keep having a go at players cheer them on, and dont leave until the final whistle and then acknowledge the players.

Well I don't know about anybody else, but I am confused about the drum.
It's brought to the games but lately it has been hardly used.

90 mins of drumming and chanting next week?

As for Tostao, he was knocked off the ball far too easily by an overweight number 3.

At the start we was going round the number 3 for fun but faded somewhat later in the game, a pretty awful game really and one point is better than none, Che was caught offside far too many times and we looked more threatening up front when Liam H came on, and as for Ben White ..well! Nice to see Francis back, almost lost it at the end with Wilko's 'air kick', oh well he's entitled to the occasional blunder!

I think we should ease off criticising Ben White. OK, he did have a poor game, And he has blown hot and cold this year, but there weren't many shining stars on display on Saturday. The pitch and the wind saw to that. Ben is still young and is still learning his trade. Obviously Andy sees something special in him, and I am prepared to back Andy's judgement. He has nearly always been right in the past. From what I have seen, White has the potential to be a very good playmaker, with his ability to switch play and hit 40 yard passes to feet. All he needs is some fire in his belly when he pulls on the red shirt. If people saw he was REALLY trying, I'm sure they could forgive the odd missed tackle or misplaced pass.

The cold and the wind didnt help.

Those 80mph hour winds are always trouble..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

What cold and wind? I thought it was a nice spring day.....

.....am I the only person who thinks we are making poor excuses for a poor performance?
