Duku, what can i say what a game he had, i was thinking about voting him as man of the match then he made up my mind with that good goal (just like at Canvey last season). Nerve wreckin or what!!! I thought that the game was not too good but what can I say 1 point is better than no points!!! Any other comments???

Nice to see the fridge back and to see him nip in for the equaliser . Poor defending for their goal too. Wilko saved again briliantly from a one on one, when greg "Jeffers is my role model" Blundell(the diving thing in case noone got it) tried to lob him. How important could the FRidge's goal prove to be at the end of season?? Loie Evans was my MOTM too, he deserves a start. he's fast, can finish, and can hold up the ball up well even though he is little.

thought both sides were rubbish, but hey that point could be valuable, great to see the duke back what a comeback.louie evans had a good game i think he should start more often he has great pace and has a never say die attitude, which is what we need.felt sorry for ben white he had a stinker today but hey give the boy a chance and i reckon he will come good, fans are all too quick to criticise when things dont go well, so lets support all the lads until we are safe from relegation.thought the officials were rubbish today some of the offsides were unbelieveable.onwards and upwards for the rest of the season,WE WILL AVOID RELEGATION thats a fact.

I thought we were frankly pretty poor and lacked creativity..Still seems that if we dont get a goal out of a midfield player than we're going to struggle. Andy had all last summer to get somebody in but we've spent all of this season hoping that his gambles would pay off. Louie was OK but was no way MOM, Budgie has gone on loan, Parker is back on the bench without scoring, Boothy has gone on to be a goalscorer at last but at Welling and Liam hasnt delivered goals...Che's been better of late and fair play to him but we havent had another striker all season capable of scoring a goal or 6 nor did we last season. Andy talks abt getting a replacement for Matt Lee in...Couldnt agree more Andy, a loan striker signing from Gillingham would be nice !!!

I sense it will go down to the last game of the season for us....

Awful game, but we got out of jail and that's all that counts! Duku was my MOTM - what with the goal, he was fairly assured at the back, and just nice to see him again!

Blundell was a right diver and got a bit narky when Penno fouled him in the second-half, but he's quick little diver, I'll give him that.

Evans and Wilko played well (other than the Laurel and Hardyesque fresh air kick and the agonising 10 seconds it took to roll past the post!), as did Jacko, but we were truly lacking in shots on target.

Their no 3 was a big fat weeble.....

.....who managed to knock Tostao off the ball 90% of the time.

I point this out for the little group standing near me who think that Tostao is some sort of footballing god.

Some weird going's on today, including team & tactics.
McKimm on for White came about 70 odd minutes too late.
We have lost points time and time again this season from NOT TAKING CHANCES!

I was standing level with the 18 yard line for the first half and I thought the linesman got it pretty much right. Che in particular was caught offside a lot and deservedly so.

Tostao started well but despite some good crosses we didn't really look like scoring. White started badly and faded. It was good to see Duku playing again but clearly he needs some more games to get back to his best. I don't know what happened with Wilko at the end but having finally got the goal we typically tried to throw it away.

They were awful and we were worse, both sides got one more point than they deserved but I suppose we should be grateful that point could prove vital and the other results today weren't too unkind.

If we play like that next week we will get a good gubbing!

We always play like that at home against average opposition. That game reminded me of Leigh, Margate, Telford and Kettering where the opposition were poor and we were worse.

I haven't seen us play that crap at home against better teams - Yeovil, Doncaster, Dagenham, Scarborough, etc. We might not beat Morecambe but I fancy us to put in a much better performance.

Ben White is rubbish! Give him a chance, he's had 10 starts including the KSC game. I, along with a most other fans, expected more from him. Gillingham reserve player, Conference experience with Dover last season. A show case for him to present his potential, Doc Marten or Ryman next season, take your pick. Can't pass, can't tackle and can't read the game. By all means put him on the bench, so he can replace McKimm when he gets tired, but first choice, never. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Sounds like a point gained against the odds with the famous 'Fleet' fighting spirit.

Good Luck and thanks to everyone for your kind comments regarding the Terriers situation.

I'm hoping that we (Hudders) are safe by the last match of the season, thus allowing me the luxury of hitching a ride from West Yorkshire on the (Hali)Fax coaches for the game at Stonebridge Road.

That would be great on what has been a mean ole' season.

I think we lacked a lot of width tday. Tostao made some good runs in the first half and got a few good balls in, but Ford was right to take him off in the 2nd half coz that fat guy Rioch had more strength. Jacko seemed to be wandering into the centre for much of the game, but after skinners introduction he had someone to link with. I don't know if Evans was put on the right after tostao came off or what but we lost all attack on the right after that.

I think that certain fans are only including certain games that Ben White has played, and saying he cant pass is preposterous hes the best passer of the ball i have seen in ages (except 4 on TV) he hits the ball beautifully it floats in the air and most of the time it goes to the right target. I think hes to cheeky with the ball in any part of the pitch, but thats him, cheeky. I admit he ain't as good as every one expected, hes a good player like Hamid Barr but we just expect to much of him just cause they are from a club in a higher division. So i think just give him time and he'll produce the goods!!!

Just don't be to quick to dis him.

Correct Daz, Ben White is usually poor and it's ridiculous that Andy leaves players like Macca and Rob Owen out of the side to accommodate him. Also, I was rather confused by the decision to leave Skins on the bench today, considering that we always play better with four at the back, a formation we could have used had he started the game.

However, Daz, your criticism of Tostao seems a little harsh. I admit that some people rate him far too highly, and that we shouldn't adapt the team to play around him, but he looked like one of our most creative players today. His crosses could have been used by Liam, who ironically came on for him.

We were certainly poor today and probably deserved to lose, although we did create some good chances in the second half (e.g. Jacko hitting the post). Wilkerson's late miskick summed up the day really. frown.gif

However, one major plus point came out of the match - the return of the Fridge. A pretty good performance for a player just returning to the first team, and a very important goal to cap it off. Francis undoubtedly has the fighting spirit we need towards the end of the season. grin.gif

I was surprised that Bentley didn't go wide right when Tostao came off and I cetainly would play Macca, Strouts and Owen ahead of White.

Once again yesterday we proved that we can play badly enough to get relegated, we have already proved we can play well enough to stay up I reckon it could come down to the three away matches at Kettering, Leigh and Farnborough.

Mind you the conference guide predictor has us down as failing to score in any of those matches and still finishing 14th.....so why am I still worried confused.gif
