I have always thought of the Manager as being part of the team, so if we have rules that say you must be english to be in the team, then so should the Manager.

If I realy pushed the boat, I would go for Ferguson, could you imagine Utd to win the league again this year, then timed right for him to become England Manager at the end of the season. I still think he could have another five years in Football, just enough for us to win the world cup. (I know he is Scottish but that is near enough for me)

I think Ferguson if he would take the job is the most perfect, record second to none, handles players & media well, also very good international experience, with all the times Utd have played foreign teams.
