Goalkeeper choice wrong. Go with the form player so I would of plumped for James or Green. Cant have a go though as we have all called for Robinson to be dropped.

 

Defence - Not much more he could go. Carragher is a kent as he should of been playing if he hadnt thrown his toys out of the pram.

 

Midfield were all kents - How often do we see Lampard and Gerrard bomb past the forward at their clubs. Both Liverpool and Chelsea play the system we played last night but 4 of the midfield 5 couldnt be arsed to do what they do for their clubs.

 

Forward - Crouch was our best player. What other choice did Mclare have. Bent or Defoe. Neither playing for their club. Clubs have GOT to be forced to play English players.

 

We were poor and didnt deserve to go through. Lets hope it is a wake up call but as long as all those Kents are picking up such huge wages they will not give a sh1t for their country. They dont give a toss for the fans.

4-4-2. Joe Cole in Centre Mid with a free role, Hargreaves sitting. Not sure who to put on the left. No point picking Wright Phillips as Willo can cross a bettr ball than him. Give Walcott a chance to learn international football by playing him on the wing. I would also have some grit on the bench like Bowyer or Barton just to bring on and get stuck in if need be.

I dont think we are surprised EG it is just the lack of effort or [****!!****] that kills us. The manager has got to take the final blame but most of the players were fecking useless. They will all be back in their comfy houses picking up their stupid pay cheques from their clubs and will not give a feck about the fans.

I agree Kroons (now thats a 1st) Defence was shocking, CVarragher should be playing but he'd been left on the bench too often at international level, Midfield was [****!!****] no drive and lacked passion and look at the forwards as you said both Defoe and Bent are clubs subs but so is Crouch, thought Wright Philips tried to look lively 1st half but they took him off at H/T !!! did not see a great deal from Joe Cole apart from the cross for the pen, turned up his own a$re too much and we lacked real pace which Croatia had.

 

They defended deep cus we had given them 2 goals and looked dangerous on almost every break, technically looked beter than us and played better on a shocking pitch !!!!

The thing about Carragher is that he should of played when selected. You cant just say "I am not playing for my country cos I am the best and should be picked"

 

Agree about Cole which is why he should play in the middle. When he was 18 he was the great white hope. So we and Chelsea play him on the left. If he had been left playing in the middle we would have a world beater on our hands. Now he has been so screwed up by club and country he is just another also ran.

End of the day, it's 11 vs 11, and we were not good enough, Carson dropped a clanger, and left England with a mountain to climb.

 

teams are technically better than england end of, but what gets us by is our work rate which was lacking last night, the premiership entertaining as it may be does not encourage possession, fans always urge you to go forward, and managers allways get on at you for taking so long to get it forward with the exception of a few, the mentality needs to change. Croatia simply kept it till a forward pass was on and then made numerous angles for eachother when further up the pitch, while gerrard and co. were looking for killer/hollywood passes the majority of the time maybe the FA will take note of this but i doubt it!

 

Oh yeah Carra, was right in the decision he made, too many times he's been played out of position or not at all, and from a player who's played in 2 champions league finals, and it's nothing to do with wages, it wasn't so long ago when if you never opened a pub after your career finished or had a decent turn out for you testamonial u were broke!
