england managerial candidates

just been sent this...

Good morning

Seeing that Steve McLaren has been sacked, I thought I would give my friends a heads up on the front runners for the job....

Terry Venables:

Footballs own Teflon Don. Prime mover & shaker in last night's debacle, but none of that sh!t will stick to him when his friends in the press have picked over the rotting corpse of McLaren. Has too much baggage to be seriously considered (66/1)

Jose Mourinho:

Pouting cesspit of a man, beloved of the Chelski faithful, for that reason alone he can be safely discounted, plus England cannot buy Ronaldhino (200/1)

Martin O'Neil:

Popular 'gobsh!te' from his BBC punditry days, but never actually wins anything. The fanatics are clamouring for the 'saviour' of the Villa to be appointed & he has a good chance, but he is way underpriced at 4/11

Ray Stubbs:

Lots of people think Ray merely 'talks a good game' but football insiders have noticed over the last few months how he has moved himself closer to the top players socially. Ray has a huge mock-Tudor mansion in Chester & has the right profile to get the best out of these pansies (6/1)

Michael Parkinson:

Big friend of Posh N Becks & 'Parkie' would be a good solid choice to ensure 'Sir David' makes his 100th cap in a meaningless friendly with the Congo.

Would also be able to interview himself after the matchs, which would be worth the entry fee alone (8/1)

Jesus of Nazareth:

Been out of the game a long time, but some England fans think this lad would be the answer to their prayers.

Publicity stunts like turning water into wine wont wash, but if he can turn Gerrard & Lampard into an international class midfield combination they will probably update the bible to include this lad's greatest ever miracle (25/1)

The Queen:

She's eighty odd & probably past her best as an international coach. However she would instill some pride in performance & looking at the techniques on show last night 'jingoism' is just about all we can hope to offer (10/1)

At this early stage it is hard to look beyond Martin O'Neil as the 'safe' choice for the FA, but they will win 'FA' with him in charge & would be better off making some noises towards Jesus Of Nazareth's agents. (25/1 monster monster, get on)

One name that no one has mentioned is Glenn Hoddle. He was starting to put together a good side when he came out with those stupid comments in '98/99. He hhasn't done so well as a club manager because his skils are better than the players he coaches and he expects much more than they can often offer in the skill department. However, coaching England's elite is something he is good at.

I agree with that...
