As a Palace fan I am used to this farce, but it still hurts like [****!!****].McClaren won't go, not because he is in a results industry and he's failed, but because he's got his nose in the trough with Venables et al and will hang on for a massive payout.Well send him round here, I would love to pay him out, if you know what I mean. It will be every ones fault except his,it wouldn't surprise me if Andorra don't get a mention for not getting something off of Russia.He brings in an inexperienced keeper for the most important game for a couple of years,plays Barry and Cole out of position oh ,f#~k it I could be here all night.Just a bunch of overrated, overpaid tossers. I agree partly teffers but the team we put out tonight was 'on paper'...better than Croatia's team.

 

I would prefer to have Gerrard, Lamps, Crouch, Owen, Rooney, and company rather than any Croat!!

 

We just cant put a good 'TEAM' performance together!! We have great players - just not a great team!!!

Look on the bright side - can now enjoy a quiet tournament only of interest to football fans. No hype, no hangers on. Watched the game in Guildford, ruined by a load of girls getting in the way, uninterested, yakking about who they slept with last weekend. Oh and just to cap it all the two tallest blokes in Southern England come in after 15 mins, again totally uninterested and stand in as many people's way as possible.

 

And then road was closed due to flooding, so had to go A3/M25 to get back to Dorking!!

Well I wouldn't tonight Gerrard was...well just awful Lampard no better ,Crouch did OK to be fair ,but thanks to that mastermind of a manager we couldn't play Owen because he got injured in a nothing match last week and Rooney was already out.

I've stayed up the last 2 nights until 3.30am to watch the South American world cup qualifiers live on Sky.(Great coverage and no Motson in sight - and when Lawrenson says "we" about England, the only English born Liverpool player in 1986 cup final and he played for Eire!!!).

Venezuela 5-3 Bolivia. Not the best defending but quality entertainment.

Colombia 2-1 Argentina. Tevez sent off but 2 teams light years ahead of England.

Brazil 2-1 Uruguay. Uruguay so unlucky, average Brazil side by their standards; a great match.

Chile 0-3 Paraguay. Paraguay top the group with a great all round performance.

 

Next England manager - Who would want it?

Martin O'Neill maybe but he isn't English.

FA have the consolation of all that premier league money but how is that helping English football? DeFoe and Bent can't get in their club side yet they are expected to perform against a well organised Croatia side.

I despair for our national game!
