[****!!****] we really are now doomed . hee hee

for me its not about dosh or loyalty. As the way the dosh is presented it is a no lose situation, as if true to word no debt would be left if it goes pear shaped, so its pretty much a no brainer. its also not about loyalty. As me going to the ground is not a sign of support for the board or an individual or 20000 individuals, its a sign of me going to watch a club I was born a 10 min walk away from and felt an early affinity for. ( although now live quite a bit further away, actually I am now a 10 min walk away from will brooks club, so as long as I go to as many games as I can I consider myself a loyal ebbsfleet fan regardless of whether I join myfc or not. (obviously I wont tho). I get to about 30 - 35 a year so don't do to bad.

for me its all about the concept. I don't believe in the myfootballclub concept... I can't see that members will have important decisions which they can sway, I think that a select few will make decisions and that members will be allowed to say yes. I don't beleive that they should have bought an existing club and foister opinions upon ( yes I know they can only buy as our board wanted to sell ), but if they wanted a club founded on their principles then there was always a way forward for an AFC myfootballclub to work its way through the league. And finally I don't think that if we do receive the vast sums of money being talked about and we finally get promotion, it will taste anywhere near as sweet or as precious as our recent promotion to the conference and the subsequent remarkable achievements of staying there.
I am not a person who wants the club to remain small , I want league football probably more than most but feel most uncomfortable about doing it this way.

so for me its a take the money, continue my life as before and let their membership decide what todo when they realise it is not as realistic as championship manager, or standing on non league terraces is as romantic as maybe the image is portrayed. If it means our playing budget then shrinks back to our crowd sizes again, then so be it. I am just hoping that all the publicity gets a few more people from the surrounding area off their arses and down to Stonebridge Road.

Of course, I can't see the future like anyone else so I may have this all entirely wrong, but anyway thanks for the 35 quid UU. Use your vote wisely!

Has the sweepstake opened yet for when you wil be kicked out ? Imagine that 20000, voting that you're the weakest link.

that was not a dig at you by the way.

It was just a suggestion that the members would be asked to say yes ( sorry I meant vote ) to a proposal to vote you out.

your guerilla attacks are to be saluted, if only for the comedy value alone.

surely you wouldnt wish on your worst enemy that they should read ALL that you post on here.

Well maybe if you hadn't hidden your points amongst so many rather pointless & cheap jibes, digs & other unworthy stuff, we might have bothered to read them. I like the way you cover yourself, by saying "respect for the post," having just referred to it as "a long winded diatribe."

I incline to agree with what I currently see as the true philosophy behind MyFC (not the shamelessly twisted version of it presented by some on here) but then I'm an unabashed leftie. However, I can totally see where our Wobbly friend is coming from & I respect his post because it showed me another point of view clearly, made me question some of my own views & did not resort to cheap knocks at anyone who holds a different viewpoint.

...er except the controlling interest in the club could be left at the mercy of someone who perhaps has ulterior motives and that the cynical might say has bought the club with other peoples money. They state a MyFC Ltd (as opposed to those appointed by the MyFc Trust) representative will get a seat on the board.....who do you think that might be ?
