The last time Aldershot Town visited New Lodge little more than a year ago two of their players, Ollie Adedeji and Mark Graham, were sensationally red-carded for fighting each other.

Both players were shown the door by the former Football League outfit, but now they line-up for Billericay Town tomorrow as Gary Calder's men bid to halt the Ryman Premier title charge of Shots.

Aldershot have never found Billericay easy opponents to overcome -- Town achieved a goalless draw in Hampshire earlier this season.

And Calder insists that, whatever the final composition of the side, his troops are ready to put up a fight against the top dogs in front of what is expected to be a 1,500-plus crowd.

Billericay were forced through injuries to field a well-below strength team at relegation-threatened Hitchin on Tuesday and lost 1-0.

But there are hopes that first choice goalkeeper Jerome John, and Adedeji, will come through late fitness tests to return to the side.

Gary Henty, Russell Penn and Jamie Wallace are also fighting to be fit, but Calder refuses to be downhearted at the troubled preparations to this game on the injury front.

"This is the type of game that every player wants to be involved in," he said. "Obviously there's more pressure on Aldershot as Canvey are pushing them hard at the top, but we want to finish the season in a high position and to make that happen we need results from as many of our last 13 games as possible."

Billericay's preparations were rocked this week by the resignation of club coach and former Aldershot boss George Borg, who claimed he was stepping down to save Town paying his wages over the closing weeks of the campaign.

Billericay have suffered cash flow problems recently and the departure to Grays of Roy Essandoh and Martin Carthy at Christmas has been followed by other players, including Chris Moore and Paul Fewings, leaving in recent weeks.

But all that will count for nothing tomorrow as Billericay bid to get the better of a Shots side who boast in Roscoe D'Sane one of the most exciting striking talents at this level.
