dorking football club limited : the good news.

Recommended Posts

we all know the bad side of this, bottom of the league, struggling for a regular first eleven, court action being taken, failed health and safety inspections, poor state of the pitch buildings and grounds, no money, falling attendances....

lets hear the good side, reasons why it would be good for football in Dorking if the current owners stayed.

Why it would be bad if they packed up and left.

If people like you would put as much energy into helping Dorking Fc instead of being a huge irritation to them as you are, they may not be in such trouble as you say, much of keeping the grounds and clubhouse in good repair is down to manpower not just money, please stay away from Horley Town, people talk a lot but no action?

I offered money and my time and practical and commercial assistance during the start of last season, but it wasnt taken up, and I wasnt giving them a hard time, then, I was trying to support them. You should know that as you know who I am!

The "manpower" needed has been pushed away from the club.

I was asking for good things to be said about the ltd co.Can you spare a good word for them? The club played at Horley this year.

They have been to Horley twice this year and we played them at Dorking last year, I could not have anything more, good or bad about them to say than any other team in the CCL.

When youn say pushed away is it because they felt that you were working against them.

I would go along with that, eye1 .

(clearly they arent too friendly to me and some others right now but thats understandable.)

back to my question though for those coming in after a days work:

lets hear the good side, reasons why it would be good for football in Dorking if the current owners stayed.

Why it would be bad if they packed up and left.

We played there at the weekend, to be honest there are worse grounds around, wembley springs to mind straight away, they all seemed friendly enough, problem at this level is you get just a hardcore of people that seem to do most jobs within a club.

Its always bad news when a club hits hard times especially a club with such a long history

he was already booked then he clashed with the ref in an innocent collision allowing our player the freedom to cross the ball which we scored from, the ref disaloowed the goal( saying the ball was out when it was obvious it was just because of the collision which incidently was good refereeing and the right decision), apparently he attacked the referee with obsenities leaving the referee no option but to red card him then he tried to attack the referee and it took several players to get him off the pitch and 5 minutes or more for the ref to decide whether to abandon the game or not

I see no answer to Mick t saying Dorking was not that bad, shows you have abviously got a chip on you shoulder about Dorking, we were fortunate at Horley to own our own ground, given to us by a Major Jennings for the people of Horley, I think people like you should get off people's back and try to help in a constructive way, all you seem to want is to grind that knife deeper and deeper into someone;s back you are a disgrace.
