Wader - it was irony - you know, the stuff that Rhodes doesn't understand! I didn't really think that you were phishing in order to finance the new ground.

Fair enough Wader.. Seems to be the perpetual problem of lower level clubs.. Never enough people to share the workload and a select few doing everything and more.. Still at least Biggleswade United wont have that problem!! They should have 5000 people to share the workload..

Horace - I did hear however that that currently The Waders are phishing around locally for a few players at the moment!

Wader - Sorry if this comes across as a bit negative but weren't you supposed to move into your new ground during the early part of this season, what's causing the delay exactly as you have always struck me as a man who can get things done whatever the difficulties and sooner rather than later.

Sometimes things are outside of ones direct control. Additional flood risk assessments (a sign of our times I suppose) belatedly demanded by the Environment Agency have caused a delay and matters are still ongoing in that area. It shouldn't hold us up any further now though. Frustrating isn't the word!

Wader - Yes but there are ways and means and it's not what you know it's who you know. Take the Copthall Stadium for example, just ten months after we approached them indicating that we were interested in plying our trade there we were kicking off against New Bradwell St Peter in September, albeit under different circumstances to yours.

I did say 'albeit under different circumstances'. You mentioned flood risk assessments and the time it is taking the Environment Agency in carrying these out, I'm just saying that there are ways and means in getting things fast tracked if you know a man who can!

We work hand in hand with the Athletics Club and they know they only have to say the word if they want something sorting out, they have been as good as gold with us and it's so refreshing not to be dictated to, Robert Mugabe style, like we were at Haringey, Parkfield and Hendon. Also don't forget we (the football club) did everything that was necessary to get the pitch and floodlights ready for the season and put everything in place to more than satisfy the SSML hierarchy who were dumbfounded by what we achieved.
