I have read bad things about the Granby but this is easily the nearest hotel to Stonebridge Road.

One other is the Travelodge in Stone Crossing which is a couple of miles from the ground in the other direction to the S'end.

AFF, do you ever sleep?

I put my mate in the Granby a couple of weeks ago. For £40 including full English he said it was OK. I put another mate in the Best Western and he said for £95 it was sh1t.

Oh well no pleasing some.

They're planning to knock the Clarendon down and replace it with a monstrous looking 32 storey block of flats in the middle of town.

Currently there is a power cut a Gravesend Civic Centre, so we have no internet here. Strangely I am still able to view posts and post on here myself. It's the only web page I can get lol, so at the moment, all I'm doing is reading this forum and playing Mario Kart on the DS

Don,t mates come in threes?

Depends how synchronised they are. As the Beatles one said 'Come Together'

United States, Tennessee, Harrison (outside Chattanooga)

I want to give some of my background before I get trashed. First, I'm not a member of MyFC, yet. I'm trying to do my homework on the club, its history, and get to know some of its supporters before making a decision to spend my $75 USD on the club. This level of football is a level that I'm used to. I used to work with the Third/Fourth Division club (not the same level that Rochester is in for AFF's reference, but the same league) that used to be here in my community as a utility person (basically everything from announcer to equipment manager to practice dummy), so I do know the level of play. If I do sign up, I probably would not would vote against the head coach on any player decisions or the like. He sees them everyday, he knows what is going on on and off the pitch a lot better than anyone of the MyFC members would ever know without being there at training everyday. I feel more comfortable with the infrastructure stuff like the grounds/Stadium and the like. I would join to provide the capital to improve the club to bigger and better things. I won't comment much, but I will be around to see what's happening. Good luck to the Fleet.

Thanx for all your suggestions of the ropey, refuge fuelled places to stay but the wife has FOUND 'the inn on the lake' not sure its football but after tonights performance with our national team and the management tacticts involved perhaps the point as they (women) are always right may stand!

I am from Yorkshire (sorry) so value for money is always dragging at the back of the mind - hotel views?

Still more than anything would like to have a beer before the game and meet you guys to prove we are not all total to*ser*

Which pub to hit ?

Any of you wants to share beer and maybe rip everything apart feel free.

By the way just want to point out that the MYFC forum loses me, too much traffic of people who dont care, perhaps they really should be looking at the club they just bought?

until Saturday.......

Nice ... right ON the A2 ... with fantastic views of ... the A2 !
Or the lake if it's daylight ... all those fisherman looking in your windows on the ground floor ... and the night time prowlers ... oh , and the Cobham Lighthouse ( snigger )
Wonder why no-one on here thought of suggesting it ???
