Spider, is this a merger or are wstone taking over Ruislips 1st team and playing them as wstone reserves as I read on Edgware's forum?

If wstone merge with Ruislip ie Wstone Manor ? then under FA Rules dont they have to drop to the posistion of the lowest ranked club in the merger...ie the SSML Prem...and if Manor were to get relegated SSML div 1 ?

I gather that work starts again soon(ish) on the excellent but so far ill fated PEPF project (already part built) - Wealdstones new home under the ultimate stewardship of the Council with big Barnet FC input. Could be very interesting indeed.

Regarding the Wealdstone-Ruislip thing, I was expecting Wealdstone to be groundsharing there this season and was a bit surprised when it didn't happen as it was from a reasonably sound source. Maybe this is just part of the same story?

Do Ruislip have a Prem grading then? I suspect that the forward agreement with Northwood and works to achieve at Ruislip prevented that potential scenario your source outlined for this season.

There is also a lot of speculation on a Wealdstone Forum, someone in the know seems to think a merger between the Club's is 'highly unlikely':

Those that are "in the know" have not made any statements as of yet. These are all speculations (which I know you like) and have probably come out a week earlier than would have been ideal.

Portugal is not quite there either. We made Armenia look like hard work. Should be better against Finland! We shall see.

I see that there will be four groups of four in the Final stages and three of the seeded teams are already known - Greece (holders), Austria (hosts) and Switzerland (hosts). That means only one of Italy, France, Germany, England (if they get there), Portugal (if they get there), Spain or Holland can be a seeded nation. Group of death anyone?

It would certainly seem preferable to be in the second group of seeds than the fourth top seeds.

 

When Germany qualified last month they apparently were in pole position to be the fourth top seed. They promptly went and lost at home to the Czech Republic and no longer top the group. A connection there perhaps??!!
