Total respect to Lord Chas and the commentary 'team'. Listened to the second half here in the deepest depths of Norfolk. If you ever want to transfer to Radio Norfolk you will be more than welcome. Anyone who can refer to the visiting keeper as 'a pantomime horse', '4 stones overweight' and 'flappy' has got to be respected. Oh, and to get the phrase 'jumpers for goalposts' into the commentary deserves deity status!

Lovely to hear from another member of the aristocracy. I just want to point out:

 

"Jumpers for goalposts" and "Flappy" - guilty as charged.

 

The other comments were not mine, and Mr S - who stepped in at the last minute to help out - was suitably chastised and chastened.

Last night's commentary was, in fact, pre recorded and every comment was scripted. I was at home watching a repeat of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. I hear George scored a cracker from 30 yards in spite of what others might say...............

 

Must dash, I am off to record Saturday's commentary. Wouldn't want to get the yardage wrong.
