For those not members of MyFC this might be of interest - posted by Will Brooks on MyFC

I received the following email from Matt Davison, Sports Producer, BBC Radio Kent, asking me to pass this message on to members (I'll have to get him to join so he can tell you himself in future...)

"We're now also doing commentary of the Kent Senior Cup tie between Ebbsfleet and Ramsgate (kick off 19.45), which we wouldn't have normally even sent a reporter to but are now.

Tomorrow evening, please go to bbc.co.uk/kent/sport (the home page, not listen-live which will have our normal show)

Response to the Oxford v Ebbsfleet commentary on Saturday was fantastic. We had 130 emails during the commentary.

Here at BBC Radio Kent we are excited as anyone about the Myfootballclub.co.uk proposed takeover. It's funny to see how the world's media have started taking an interest in the Fleet who only recently even got to the stage of having a Radio Kent reporter at every game.

Only three years ago when they were in the Ryman league and called Gravesend and Northfleet, it was only on special occasions, local derbies, big cup ties and any hint of promotion that would bring a reporter. And commentaries were only for particularly big games. But since the Fleet's first season in the Conference we have broadcast commentary of the away games on our website.

Saturday was massive though. We had more emails arriving to comment on the commentary than most clubs manage all season. People were listening for their first taste of the Fleet from Australia, where it was in the middle of the night, Abu Dhabi, South Africa and several states of America. Because of the interest, we will add home commentaries to our service for the time being, as well as away games.

The Blue Square Premier is about the lowest level you can go in football where there are guaranteed broadcast facilities. Lower than that it's a bloke on a phone. In fact, the day the Fleet got promotion to the conference, courtesy of getting the right result at Bedford, we had to get some special equipment from another radio station, BBC Three Counties Radio, which only worked at that ground, to get commentary of the game.

BBC Radio Kent's commentaries can be heard through our website bbc.co.uk/kent. Sometimes it's found by pressing Listen live, but if it isn't there is a seperate link through the home sport page bbc.co.uk/kent/sport. I think you'll find once the bug bites, it stays.

What he didn't say was that 30 of those emails were selling Rolex watches, 60 selling Viiagra and Ciallis and 15 offering him a bigger d1ck.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that gets those.
