MyFC hidden agenda?

So, that nice Will fella from MyFC is trying to make things go smoothly between REAL fans and cyber fans is he?

This taken from the article in today's Observer (link in the Bloody Hell thread)

Brooks does regret that the board, led by chairman Jason Botley, would not allow him to tell the supporters' trust about the takeover. 'The directors said that the trust does not necessarily do what it says on the tin - and that it was best to keep it quiet,' he says. Jessica McQueen, the trust's chairwoman, says 'it was a huge shock' when she was first informed on Sunday, and asked not to say anything to her members, which caused her some difficulty

Why would he make these comments public if not to cause problems? The whole way in which this deal was conducted is my biggest concern - seems like there is stuff being hidden from everyone, wonder why that is?

I for one cannot wait for the two wildly differing reports ( and there will be ) of the meeting between Fleet Trust and MYFcuks ... clearly they ( MYFcuks ) work on the divide and conquer method , and Jessica ( unfortunately ) doesn't have the enormity of their spin machine behind her .

Split our Trust from our club/board/fanbase is their next goal , obviously . They should realise that our Trust is made up of ordinary decent fans of this club - the very people they need onside , and some of the hardest working for this club , most in an unpaid capacity .

Anyone and everyone in MYFcuks Ltd is beneath contempt . The only saving grace is that a few more wavering voters amongst the Fleet faithful should now make their minds up - firmly .

The fact that Will Brooks himself revealed that the Trust were kept in the dark about this move eradicates the accusations levied by yourself at the Fleet Trust in earlier threads.

However, this highlights a problem with the misrepresentation of that Jessica quote you criticised so much, which, as I have argued in a previous thread, cloaks her true opinions by using the cliche of 'looking forward to working with someone for the benefit of an organisation'.

Jessica is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. After the intense media involvement whatever she said would have been presented in a different context for all and sundry to disect and attack.

Taken from Myfc news desk..It has been there since the takeover announcement!

Local area

The new £100m Ebbsfleet International Station with its 15-minute journey time to St Pancras will make the area extremely desirable for commuters and businesses. To provide for Ebbsfleet’s growing population, plans are in place for 3000 residential units, 2,190 acres of new parks and open spaces and 4.5 million sq ft of commercial property, which will create around 20,000 new jobs.

Commenting on the deal in principle between EUFC and MyFootballClub:

Liam Daish, Ebbsfleet United manager: "Everyone has worked wonders to get this club to in the top half of the Conference. We all agree the club needs something extra to take it to the next step.

As a football fan, I think the MyFootballClub idea is fantastic. And as the coach, I look forward to the challenge of working with thousands of members to produce a winning team. Alan Kimble and myself are 100% committed to making this work."

Jessica McQueen, Ebbsfleet United supporters' representative: "Also being a Trust, our members understand the MyFootballClub concept immediately. We very much look forward to working with the MyFootbcallClub members for the benefit Ebbsfleet United."

I don't see how I misinterpreted I that!

If she didn't mean it..She shouldn't have said it!

Furthermore, I wish to stress the following most strongly: if this club does go belly up after the MyFC intervention, then we will need a sturdy base of loyal fans upon which to rebuild our beloved club. Surely, then, it is necessary to support our Fleet Trust fully and to help it grow stronger, should any rescue mission be needed in the future?

I don't think you read a single word I posted. How many times have you seen a company executive, employee, director, chairman etc. say (through gritted teeth) that they a 'looking forward to working with someone'. Harry Redknapp said it when Mandaric brought in an interfering director of football at Portsmouth, and voiced his true feelings (i.e. anger) shortly after. Jessica has done the self same thing here. Furthermore, of course she wants to 'work for the benefit of the club', she's the Trust Chairman for god's sake.

I don't think Jessica could have said any thing else to be honest. What has she said that is sooo bad. We understand how a trust works - correct. Work together for the benefit of the club - correct also. She could't come out and say "well actually I think it's all bollox and they can go [****!!****] themselves if you think we are going to work with them". or have I misinterpreted it.
