Dorking go 1-0 down after 20 mins after even start then have Darren Brown sent off on the half hour. Chicks show a lot of character to pull a goal back before HT through Marcel Dennis. Adam Pero then $akes it 2-1 to Dorking immediately after HT, but Bedfont hit back with two quick goals. Bedfont evetually emerge as deserved winners, but Dorking reduce the arrears just before the 90 mins through Adam Pero's second of the game.

DFC's official FULL match report is now available on the DFC Discussion Board.

If you can't access it, I'd be happy to cut and paste it here.

Here it is. I apologise that there's no team-sheet. I'll try and make sure it's there in future. I would take it from the programme but there were so many changes before kick-off....

______________________________

"After an eventful week for the club, it was a relief to all for the focus to return to the football field on Satuday as Dorking welcomed Bedfont to Meadowbank for a CCL fixture, although as it happened this match turned out to be an eventful affair in its own right.

Tony Webb had had no luck once more with his team selection, keeper Chris Roberts withdrawing from the game the day before the match for family reasons, so Dorking gave a debut to Stuart Robbins in the Dorking goal, Robbins having been concentrating for several months on regaining match fitness after serious injury last season, Robbins having made the Dorking bench as substitute keeper in recent weeks as his rehabilitation continued.

Bedfont have been a changed team this season having finished bottom of the pile last season, although being saved from relegation due to a lack of teams elegible for promotion from CCL division 1.This season Bedfont are in the top half of the divisoin, having started well

The game saw an even opening, but it was Bedfont who drew first blood taking the lead on 20 minutes as Dorkng failed to clear. Bedfont then had a goal disallowed before Darren Brown, already booked in the opening peiod, received a straight red card after seemngly completely losing his cool, the player having to be ushered to the changing rooms by a combination of Dorking coaching staff and players, the incident causing a 5 minute delay in play.

Down to 10 men then on the half hour, Dorking looked under the cosh, but somehow the side kept Bedfont at bay, and showed a lot of character to pull level on the stroke of half time, Nigel Webb doing well to pull the ball back to Marcel Dennis who scored from an angle for his 7th goal of the season.

Even more remarkably, Dorking took the lead in the 48th minute, sub Adam Pero finishing nicely to give 10 man Dorking a shock lead. However, just wnen Dorking needed to defend tightly, almost immediately Bedfont equalised, a long shot seemingly deceiving keeper Robbins and ending up in the goal. Worse was to follow as on 55 minutes Bedfont were back in front, another long shot finding the back of the net.

Dorking did then manage to stabilise the game, creating some half chances, although Bedfont were creating opportunities for themselves, Robbins redeeming himself with some smart saves. However, as Dorking's 10 men tired, on a heavy pitch, Bedfont were able to notch another couple of goals in the last 10 minutes, and although Pero again finished nicely for a consolation goal for Chicks in the closing stages, the two goal margin was a fair reflection on the game.

The club had welcomed ex Spurs player and Millwall manager Dave Tuttle to the Bedfont game, Tuttle now involved at MK Dons but assisting the club in a number of ways as Tony Webb and the team seek to rise up the CCL table. Tuttle has already introduced to the club Tony Ahmed, who played in right midfield for the club on Satruday, and who has recently been released by MK Dons."

ENDS.

I do know that Chris Roberts, (our keeper), young son was rushed into hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning, hence ChRis's absence.

I wish, as I'm sure you all do, him a speedy recovery.
