Where do you get that from, all of the reports I have found even from Halifax have it the other way, MyFC turned down Halifax as being unsuitable. Of course I have no way of knowing how true they are.

Untrue - Halifax approached MyFC and negotiations were quite extensive. A takeover had been in the pipeline for more than a year but hadn't been concluded. Halifax was on the verge of going bankrupt. MyFC adopted the position of agreeing to negotiate on the basis that a takeover would only be negotiated if the existing consortium withdrew their interest. At no time did MyFC attempt to undermine a takeover by any other group. On the morning of the high court hearing the Bosomworth consortium reached agreement with Geoff Ralph and MyFC withdrew as a result. Many people have suggested the Ralph used MyFC to force the hand of the consortium, and this may be partly true, but the Halifax supporters who played a role in the negotiations tell a different story.

not quite true old boy......as when I suggested that you were remarkably well informed you intimated that you had got the info from the fanzine...
