I prefer drinking out of glass vessels.....but you can't blame the pub for dishing out plastic ones........dodgy 'erberts you know !! However, no doubt that when myFC have total control at Stonebridge Road then things will be different ? A nice pewter tankard for me please...engraved if you will with a suitable "motto"....like Mug for a Mug, who has paid £000's in for f*ck all !!!

Regards,

Pewter tankard, - no probs hirsty although it will have to be one of those 2 pint german steins to get all that writing on it ! I presume you will have no problem with that smile

Hirsty,

I think even you might agree a round trip from Glasgow to watch Ebbsfleet might tax ones budget a bit too much..........In fact in may well cost the same as watching Rangers in the Camp Neu the other week! .However, I will see The Fleet (if the deal goes through) but it will be in the Northern hemisphere.........and then I will be able to afford a few beers .........

Ya see, football isn't about turning up once a season (TO BE SEEN) its about going week in, week out, when the team is good or bad

IF MyFC members are still turning up in significant numbers next season - the 'experiment' will have worked out well for everyone... Lets not be to hasty - an extra 200 - 500 for the first home league game will prove nothing!

As has been said - you are correct here.

Can I point out a couple of factors that could influence attendances in the future.

(1) The takeover is still in the due diligence phase. MyFc does not own EUFC and it is still possible (if unlikely) that the takeover will not go through.

(2) The announcement was made on Tuesday. EUFC fans knew the EUFC fixture list since the begining of the season. It can be difficult to make arrangements to go the a football match at four days notice.

(3) The establishment of regional MyFC groups is still only in its initial stages. When these groups are properly structured it will be possible to have arrangement for groups of supporters in relation to transport and to co-ordinate attendance from different regions.

If every MyFC attends just one game a season it has the potential to raise the attendance by between 500-1,000 per game. That should be the target and a strategy will be developed to attempt to ensure that this does happen.

Dom, EVERY fan wont attend - but if only 1% of MyFC turn up to every home game that wil be a fantastic result!

Obviously we would need to offer a £5:00 discount to Stafford fans I certainly wouldn't advocate fleecing them.

OK, so you advocate ripping off ordinary members of the public. Maybe the increase could just be for people with curly hair, or walk with a limp?

I for one wasn't there because I'm one of the foreign "investors"(from Denmark). However, I do hope to get the time to go to a game or two during the season.

I think the idea of that many MyFc'ers going to Ebbsfleet matches is far fetched. Remember that everyone who invested in this project, did it over the internet. Nobody needed to go to a a stadium in order to buy a ticket for this. Some may even have invested "in the spur of the moment".. Also as long as Ebbsfleet UFC is in the Conference I suspect crowds will still be quite low.

As mentioned the deal hasn't gone completely through yet, and therefore MyFc members has got zero influence on what's going on on the pitch. Once the deal goes through and people are able to make their "impact" on the team, I think you will see attendance slowly rising.

Kind regards - Thermann, hoping for promotion for EUFC this season. wink

EDIT: I'll be happy to post your thoughts on the MyFc forums..

This is true - but some MyFc members will attend more than one game. Irish members of MyFC (I think there's about 400) are talking about organising a trip every 6 weeks or so with the objective to get 50 members on each trip. Now I am sure we will not get every Irish member to go to a game but there are some members who will go to several.

In the end I am hoping that it will average out somewhere around one game for each member per season. I agree 1% would be an excellent return (250 per game) but I would hope we could do better.
