I have just recieved this email from Peter, who was the steward in the yellow jacket near the PA box at the end and was the one who went to get Colin Page over the incidents....

 

Steve, Just been reading the comments on the Forum regarding the behaviour of some of the travelling supporters today.I would confirm that all the complaints that were made today by M F C supporters was passed on to Colin and K P whom immediatley introduced me to Maidstones Chairman Paul Bowden Smith ?.He could not apologies enougth for the abuse that you and a section of our supporters had to endure.If indeed the Lady who came up to speak to us at the end was Blue Pineapple, i would like to assure her, that with the full support of M F C we wiil do our utmost to ensure public safety at hartsdown Park.

I don't normally do these forums, but I am incensed by what is being spouted on here.

 

Firstly, for any abuse given by Stones fans, I am sorry and appologise un-reservedly. For the poor couple apparently barged around when we scored the winner, again sorry - I too was barged around but have no complaint for obvious reasons and can assure them it was not aimed at them.

 

Finally, I demand an apology from "Steve B 2" for what, by his own admission on this and Maidstone's forum, were inflamatory, foul and crass comments towards sections of the Maidstone support this afternoon. I do not know your capacity within the club, but if you have anything to do with Margate FC you are a disgrace to your club. If not, Margate need to give serious consideration to whether allowing you to continue your commentating from within the ground is giving the image of the club which they wish to promote.

 

You have had an apology from our Chairman, at least have the grace to return it with one of your own!

I am not sure what you are on about Stoner. I have apologised for accidently swearing on air and have also apologised that if comments made were deemed offensive to Maidstone fans it was unintentional. But as I said, when I am having to stop the commentary due to having to deal with supporters complaining about abusive fans it is hard to separate the two. Maybe I should not give a reason why the commentary?

To say 'by his own admission on this and Maidstone's forum, were inflamatory, foul and crass comments towards sections of the Maidstone support this afternoon' is total nonsense. Over on your forum explanations were given as to why some of your fans turned on me and I have given my side of the story and it seems something mis-heard and passed on to Maidstone fans via phone caused the problem.

I had the decency to come onto your forum and set things straight and it seems as though everyone has forgotten it all but now you come on here and restart the argument.

Any apologies that I feel need to be given already have.
