A view from the Ark!

Recommended Posts

All is good with the world.

The new Messiah has made himself known, he is to be known amongst his faithful, as "Willie."

He collected his disciples from the four corners of the world to start spreading his word, and the word was "TAKEOVER!"

"We must not be too greedy to start with, we must start small. We will start at a Football Club called Ebbsfleet.

We must collect 20,000 bricks to build the foundations of our takeover. You, my faithful, are the corners stones, that the foundation will be built on.

To make this venture possible, it will be necessary, to disguise yourself as ordinary bricks, whilst I stay in the background. If you find yourself amongst unbelievers, just quote(laboriously if needed) the word from Our Bible. Tell them, to be unbelievers they will be left behind ruing the great benefits of being a brick! Their heads will inevitably start spinning, and they will fall in with our thinking! Or they will walk away mumbling, and build an Ark!

We will need to collect donations from these bricks to fund this "takeover." If the bricks should ask what the donations are for, quote from the Bible, stating it is to save them from the inevitable disease called "Bankruptcy", minus a tax for expenses, they will not actually have anything tangible for their donations.

Promise them they will have a say on how this club is run, and who plays for "THEIR TEAM", If this is not the icing on their humble cake, promise them a cherry. We will tell them we can forsee them rising to the pinnacle-----"THE PREMIERSHIP"

Do not be alarmed, we can cut out all the legwork of collecting bricks, by using the mystical Internet. You can do your work, you will not be seen, and you can give yourself clever names.

You will collectively be known as "NEW FANS".

From time to time, you can go to Ebbsfleet, to show you are "REAL FANS", flying from the four corners of the world should not be a problem for you!.

From time to time a few bricks will crumble, and it may be necessary to replace them, if this is not forthcoming, will spead the other bricks around to shore up the foundation. If the imminent collapse of the foundation should reach critical proportions, we all step smartly away, without injury, and move on!

If the foundation holds firm and Ebbsfleet grows to the promise of the words of "Our Bible", we will be hailed as Saviours and more bricks will clammer to join our numbers"!

Here endeth the Gospel according to Willie!

Today Ebbsfleet..........Tomorrow............Who knows?

Just got back from the game and was very encouraged by what i saw.Ebbsfleet certainly didnt look like the away team and were certainly much more dangerous on the break.

The defence looked very sound with Cronin dealing with everything oxford could throw at him.

Bostwick had a good game as well and made well timed tackles and good distrobution.

One area of attention is opening up on the wings as we were very narrow at times and also the link up between midfield and forwards.

I realy gutsy performance though and a hard earned point

well done the lads !!
