The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I think this line pretty much sums it up today. We started well with such a quick goal and looked good, then we let in a silly equaliser as the attacker seemed to be unmarked and so was able to lob SCS to level the game. things then became good again as Haworth (working hard as always) put us one ahead going into the break, and things were even better when Saunders got his second to put us further ahead.

Unfortunately, things went downhill from here. How Trotty scored an own goal was beyond me. He just seemed to simply head it in but from my angle it was not that clear. Then we let a third in (from a corner I think), and it appears we will have to settle for a point. But just to cap things off we let in what ends up being the Stone's winner (another silly goal too) and the fightback for the visitors from 3-1 down is complete.

I just cannot believe we went from a strong winning position to lose the game. I am so annoyed that we let what seemed to be three points slip away. We played well in parts, and Ryan Martin looks to be a good addition to the squad, and it was good to see Pinnock back, but we cannot afford to let points slip away like this.
