The full story of this is that many people were following the game on the MYFC website with Radio Kent on.

A person sent in the Ebbies comment, but when it was read out , the rest of the people jumped on it very firmly.

Infact, what you didnt say in your post is that the guy on the radio read out a second email from him withdrawing what he had said.

Many of the MYFC members are very old fashioned with their views, and messing about with names , songs is not on. Another thing we are big on is youth development and I was delighted to hear your had 2 local players playing yesterday. I would hope that youth development is a very big part of things in the future.

so was the guy that said it in the first place, it didnt go down well :-(

Question for you, is it true the our keeper has only a 1 year contract ? , if so, surely that has to be the first thing dealt with when the dust settles ? . Would that make him available on a bosman in June ? , With his England cap, people will be sniffing around, is he a player that should be with us for the long run ? , one fan in his enthusiasm online immediately said he should be given a 10 year contract ! , maybe 4 :-)

There was definate tension on the myfc thread as we followed the game and it seemed a long time from 4.30 to the end.

Sorry to ask so many questions, but we dont know much, and can only learn from the people that know.

Something that a lot of MyFC members keep trotting out, is they cant put the club into a position which could cause financial problems - therefore until you have sufficient members joined up with long term subscriptions GUARANTEED there is no chance of offering long term contracts - or have I got that wrong?

Liam never E-Mails me, to tell me about players contracts! Why not ask one of your newest members..........Mrs. Daish!
So a member thinks a large amount of your money should be used to give ONE player a ten year contract? That should sit well with the rest of the squad. One member wants him sold, how many more do?

maybe I showed my ignorance of the non league scene by saying a 4 year contract, but I meant something more than a 1 year ond that would give the club and player some security.

On Long term memberships, when I joined in August, it gave you the option of 1 year or more, most took 1 year. Personally after a month on the forum, I wanted to extend it, but that isnt an option at the moment, unless you take 2 or 3 years when you join.

Some argue against 2 or 3 year memberships as it takes money away from the club in year 2 and 3, and puts too much in year 1.

See, you have the benefit of seeing the full article - not a luxury I am willing to spend £35 on! But it is comments like that, that get posted here which causes rightful concern over the type of member that MyFC will allow to vote!

Sorry, I forgot you have only just become a fan!The Fleet last year lost Charlie Macdonald(top scorer, for the newbies), because they could only afford to keep him on a 1(?) year contract!I am sure the rest of the team are on the same terms.
If David Holden wasn't so p!ssed off with all this.........He knows much more than me!

I actually think it shows exactly why it could be a rousing success. An individual puts out a proposal. The huge consensus says it's a horrible idea. The individual proposing it is convinced he's wrong and the horrible idea disappears. That's the perfect demonstration on a small scale of the theory behind MyFC. The collective wisdom of the crowd is more important than any individual's idea.

hmmmm...thats needs thinking about on both counts.....surely if the members will pay 3 years now it guards against non renewals in the future and of course the 2nd and 3rd year fees could be placed securely in a deposit scheme...micky the liquidator knows all about those...

sooo many discrepencies and so many arrows pointing towards couttes... grin

Thank you for telling us the players are on 1 year contracts, this is what we need to know. We know little about the non league scene, but we want to learn.

Does this mean that every year the team is vulnerable to being pulled apart as the best players are open to offers from other teams ? . Would many non league players be on 2 year contracts ?

Very true, and not knocking the principle - but who is to say whats stupid? Good 'spin' works and there are enough sheeple out there to follow blindly!!

Here is the spin speak again!
When these individuals(which The Wisdom of the Crowd is dead against!), get fed up with not getting their way, and leaves and takes their next years "donation" with themm, and the Wisdom of the crowdof other "individuals do the same, who makes up the shortfall of funds?
