Oxord today

200 didn't seem right at all, especially if you consider last season's turnout.

MyFC members and Fleet fans mixed and there was no hostility, a few sarcastic comments aside. Everyone who was in the away end got involved in the game with chanting/cheering/jeering at some point which was also good to see. Let's have a few more of you around the drum next time!!

PS...maybe slighty more than 196 of us there today ? but not by many...

Just as well they didn't reserve 2000 places for us, as posted by a previous MyFC chap ( or Enid Blyton !!)

Based on this.....no need to rush to get to San Stonebridge for 1 o'clock next Saturday......don't look like many "extras" will turn up...despite all the "giving it the big 'un" about packing out the ground......

....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

rather odd to hear shouts and discussions about tactics and the team from people who have only looked into the club since tuesday!

Tad annoying that there were "hilarious" comments from most passing Oxford fans and the invasion of the press frown

One Oxford fan from the home end walked passed and I quote "I own your club" he didn't seem to be the type that would say it if he wasnt a myFC member with that possiblity of becoming an owner.

That whole point stil boggles me, why would he do that. I certainly wouldn't pay £35 to "own" anyone in the conference...

Other then that enjoyable game, ref bottled the last man red card but at the end of the day either team could have had it. Poor Mcphee, had the golden oppurtunity and didn't score..

A good performance today, against an Oxford side whom I suspect a few teams will struggle against.

The overall play today was a lot better than the past couple of matches, still some route 1, but a lot more passing along the floor, which kept Oxford guessing about what we were going to do next.

The midfield looked strong today, with Bostwick and McPhee both combining well to have fine games. Tremendous comitment from Rafa after he was injured, not only to win the ball, while struggling with what looked to me like a hamstring injury, but also to keep it.

Chukki had a good second half, after a quiet first half, and combined well with Luke, who was marked out of the game at some points.

Stacy Long and Rafa both worked well on the wings today, didn't understand putting Luke on the wing and George Purcell up front, with Luke seeming better up front, and George playing better when he had the ball on the wings.

The defence was amazing, a special mention to James Smith who I felt had his best performance in a Fleet shirt, he and Macca looked like they had been playing together for years. Mark Ricketts had a good game, combining well with Rafa and Luke, while making some brilliant last ditch tackles.

Lance was amazing today, really kept us in it with some staggering saves.

M.O.M: Deffinately Peter Hawkins, who had played a blinder in defence, and did well when attacking too. His best moment was when he was coolness personified and just dribbled round the Oxford attacker and put the ball out for a throw.

The ref didn't seem to grasp the idea of unbiasness, what with him switching teams every five minuites (Yes, I'll admit, some of the desicions he gave us should've gone in Oxford's favour!) and his decision not to send off that last man was outragous, considering the fact he virtually rugby tackled Chukki.

Invasion of the Press ? Was that who he was ? The small ginger chap ? Look out for a Hirsty interview ( which no doubt will be misquoted !) Not a good time at 14.55 after 8 pints !! Mind you, he didn't have shorthand for b*llocks ( so to speak !!)

Cheers all......
