Always there Slarti, cheering our boys on and trying to intimidate the ref, linesman or an opposition defender who continually shanks the ball into the road.

 

I'd love to be a young optimist, but too old now and see through most things I'm told unfortunately!

 

Anyway nice to see the new MFC nerds there on Saturday with their funny studenty-type hats and comments like "oh this is a nice little bar isn't it..." and such like

 

I was surprised not to see them in the bar at half time with their lap tops switched on, trying to email LD, to bring on a sub or change to 4-3-3....

From the evidence on the MyFC forum the studenty-types are few and far between and the language is definitely more colourful than you quote here.

I wasn't at HX or something friejose although it is indeed my club but we had no game on saturday......as for stone'gate'....well glad you enjoyed your visit to a real NL game and I trust that you and your son enjoyed it.....nice people down there and very loyal to their club...well done to you for making the game....

hopefully you will get the NL bug as I did many years ago and thousands of games played and watched later I still have it... laugh
