I have downloaded their PDF membership form though.

Just to clarify, I mean are you a member of the trust at the club you support?

Apologies to UU for provoking his blood pressure. bandit

All of my clubs are mega-million dollar franchises; Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Raiders, Los Andeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings, Liverpool, Chivas Guadalajara; I feel they all charge too much for tickets, hot dogs, sodas, etc.; so I would not join their respective trusts if they had them. I don't think these are equivalent to English local clubs, so I did not vote in the poll. Actually, I had never heard of club trusts until yesterday. I have already printed the trust application for EUFC, and I will join if the deal goes through.

I am in the same boat.

Can I comment on the idea of MyFC members jouning the EUFC trust.
I would not be in favour of this idea. I think it is important that exisitng EUFC fans have a body that can express their opinions at board level. This is done by the ST electing a board member. If 1,000 existing EUFC fans join MyFC then they will have a certain level of influence in the decision making process. If MyFC members were to join EUFC trust it would dilute the impact of existing EUFC fans through the avenue of the ST. I think this would be a mistake.

In particular - no one knows if this will work and if it does how long it will last. I think that it is important that a supporters trust exists independently of MyFC in order to be in a position to influence the direction of EUFC if MyFC were to withdraw at any stage. I would argue that MyFC members should not join the EUFC trust unless, following the emergence of a situation where, if MyFC were to withdraw from ownership, the MyFC members had an attachment with the club they felt the need to maintain. This is the approach I intend to adopt.

My local team doesn't have a trust (in fact i'm not sure the club is actually aware that it has supporters - it loves the $ that the 22,000 season ticket holders bring, but doesn't want to help us actively support the team).

I'd love to get one going here and on behalf of some of the supporter groups i was trying to get info from some trust organisers over in the UK but they weren't particularly helpful.

While this is laudable in principle, it might not be very workable in practice.
If a new MyFc supporter/owner starts turning up to watch us , who are we to stop him joining the Fleet Trust?
After all, if they are in the ground, as part of the home fans, are they not entitled to join?

I agree - But I do think it would be unfortunate if a lot of MyFC members joined the ST at this point in time. This is my personal opinion. I am not suggesting a conflict of interest here between MyFC members and members of the trust, but I feel that existing EUFC fans are entitled to a voice independent of MyFC at least during a period of transition for the club and those fans. Existing fans have far greater knowledge about the club than most members of MyFC and I feel there needs to be a way of expressing these views outside the MyFC structures. This would not necessarily be the case if a lot of MyFC members joined at this time.

Why don't you guys just buy the merchandise from the club shop, which is run by the trust, you will be giving money to the trust helping the club and getting something in return without diluting the existing trust membership.

Whatever views existing fans may have over the proposed take over I fail to see how anyone could object to people buying Ebbsfleet shirts etc.

A bit like Ebbsfleet United then?

Surely if the board cared that Ebbsfleet United had any supporters they would have consulted with them before agreeing to sell the club down the river to MyFc.....wouldn't they???
