WEFC Yth 1 Aylesbury Vale Yth 2

Wednesday's Allied Counties league game started much like a lot of the team's games this season. WEFC were off the pace in the first half, and individual mistakes are costing the side dear. A long punt upfield after 20 minutes caught the Windsor defence sleeping, and the opposition striker ran through unchallenged ot open the scoring. Again, much like in recent games, Windsor came out a different side in the second half and battered the opposition, finally equalising on the hour when Mark Lines rose to head home from a Craig Bartlett corner. It just seemed a matter of time before WEFC scored again after twice hitting the woodwork and seeing the Aylesbury keeper make a fine block on Ben Tindall. Windsor lost Tom Hall to injury but continued to press for the winner, when Aylesbury broke away and scored their second goal. Keeper Jack Balchin was then also injured and Lines had to take over in goal. WEFC's performance in the second half should have secured all three points, but it wasn't to be.

Team : Balchin (Mahmuti); McRoberts (King); Hartridge; Gorton; Lines; Hall (O'Shaughnessy); Bartlett; Hawkes; Hill; Tindall; Martin.

Subs not used : Jayes; Littlejohn.

Next game : 28th November - Home v league leaders Thame Utd.
