1. You came on here as a MyFC member, posting wind up material about the size of the directors box, indicating that you were revelling in the idea of taking over our club.

2. Either that post or one of your subsequent ones provoked our moderators into reporting your details & ISP to MyFC.

3. As a consequence, you were warned bt the mods on MyFC.

4. This upset you.

5. Consequently, you switched your focus onto the "powers that be" at MyFC, because they had told you off.

If that isn't the scenario, then your sudden switch against MyFC has happened because you are stung that your ideas of taking over EUFC lock stock & barrel are not supported by 99% of their members. Either way you have made yourself look a total pillock on 2 forums.

As for Uncle Urchin suggesting that you are part of the official spin team, I have never read anything more ridiculous. I suspect a huge dollop of jealousy that while his club was dumped on by a crook, we might just have had something really good fall in our laps.

If you are referring to the "is there enough room in the directors box" post (which was about my fifth or sixth post) I don't see how you could be offended by that either. How can you possibly read it as anything other than what it was, a satire on the MyFC members who genuinely believed they were buying a stake in a club (from choosing the line-up to setting the price of chips!) for £35 a year? I don't know if you were online at that time - when MyFC members were coming on and giving it large - but had you read it then in that context (and in the context of my other posts pointing out the team selection nonsense was just a marketing trick and would never really happen in the "20,000 people choose the team" way people were suggesting) then maybe you would have got the joke about the directors box. Certainly other G&N fans did and responded with the requisite smilies!

If you keep going on and on about the same old thing - they get bored and irritated and have a go at you, then they wonder why they put up with it. Then they start calling for you to be banned.

 

It happens in just about every web forum all over the world. Its happened to me - and I have banned people from forums for abusing posting privileges.

 

If you want to get your point across learn moderate language and don't attack people. You get a lot further. It took me ages to learn it and I still don't get it right all the time. Generally I avoid forums because I can get would up too easily. Fortunately, there hasn't been anyone around here that really gets up my nose

 

People on here generally are nice, there are a couple of wind up merchants, but even they are quite gentle. The worst ones are either not associated with Ebbsfleet or were the original idiots from MyFC who came over here shouting their mouths off.

Clowntown - as much as I can't stand you I'm happy to field that one.
When we all signed up we had to agree to the terms and conditions of the website. As with any other website, these ban many types of offensive behaviour. The web team are acting as any other webteam would in the circumstances. They have at no time issued any dictats that we can't do this or can't do that. As that idiot from MyFC who posted abusive stuff on here found out, this is the same for any website or forum - act improperly and you'll be kicked out.

Maybe you're just too clever for mere mortals like me on this forum, who cannot adapt to your chameleon like changes of coat. I'm really getting a kick out of all the conspiracy theories. As I was one of the earlier MyFC members to join this forum, I caught a lot of crap the first 24 hours and posters like AFF have taken to calling me one of Will Brooks' spin doctors. Apparently my ability to write in complete sentences has made him suspicious that I've been "programmed."

 

What makes it funny to me is that I've had exactly one exchange via email with Will Brooks. He wrote to me after I complained on the MyFC forum that the polo shirt I ordered hadn't arrived after 8 weeks, and he put me in touch with the merchandise distributor to get a replacement mailed to me. I'll have to go back and re-read that email now and look for all of the top-secret messages I must have missed. Anyone have a MyFC decoder ring handy?

I never for one second have ever said f*** off Ebbsfleet (let alone G&N as I will continue to refer to club since way back when and on till forever). If you are referring to me saying I would vote No to the MyFC takeover of G&N, then yes I will be voting No, for all the reasons I originally outlined (opposition from the existing fans, personal interest from supporting a club nearby, not being presented with the choice of clubs we were promised, etc). How does any of this equate to me being in any way dismissive or critical of G&N and its long-term fans? If any of my posts on here have been perceived in such a way, I apologise, but I really don't think - looking back on all my posts - I have been 'offensive' or dismissive towards G&N or its fans. Just curious when you were promised a choice of clubs? I've been a member since the first day of MyFC and that was never the case. We were all polled for our preference when we joined, but if you read the information posted on the site, it was always clear that the purchase team of Fiddy et al would be selecting the best candidate based on our preferences AND suitability of the club given our 5 purchase criteria.

 

Ever since the initial four clubs contacted MyFC it was understood and explained repeatedly that we'd never know the identity of the clubs we ultimately did not buy. If we didn't grant them that anonymity, they would never have negotiated with us in the first place.

 

The fact that EUFC wasn't a visible member of the top-15 most selected clubs in our poll doesn't mean they weren't a possibility. A good third of the top 15 were never feasible given our purchase funds. From everything I've read since Tuesday, EUFC fits the five criteria as well as could be imagined.

 

My opinion is that Fiddy's group did a fantastic job, but then again, I'm just a spin doctor in Will Brooks' hip pocket. I couldn't possibly have an opinion of my own.
