According to the Gazette today Margate have signed winger Ryan Martin from Tonbridge Angels, likely to play tomorrow with Jimmy Jackson falling back to take Skinns place, as Skinns is likely to be out for another month.

 

Tonbridge Angels website has him down as a midfielder.

Just asked Jane what he is like and her message says "Young and very gifted. Needs the opportunity to put it into practice on the pitch"

She has also added he is little, very fast and will run at defenders, also will beat all in a skills competition.

Great idea to have 3 wingers as sub-will confound everyone.Ten years ahead of his time

 

Is it just me-or do we seem not to get the balance right somehow.

 

Meanwhile, we'll just keep on leaking goals through central defence;and thats where games are won or lost-by not conceding.

 

Does RT have some sort of deep seated constraint keeping him from sorting out central defence ?

Oh the dreaded "put Jacko back to full back". No,no,no please no!

Jacko will do a fine job there,I have no doubts about that but unless Ryan Martin can do as good as Jacko up front we will be found wanting in attack. Was he not good enough for the Angels team & why? Maybe he will turn out to be a "star" here .Lets hope so.

Good to hear that he runs at defenders. Thats something we lack here.Even Jacko dosent do that too often.But Jacko makes up for that by putting in vital crosses & no-one needs reminding of that lethal left foot of his.We are going to miss that in attack.We'll see if this works out or not. I have my doubts.

Yes, the signing process is in full swing but it's down to getting the pieces of paper in the right place at the right time. Given it's now Friday evening is doable but tight.
