Yes - I understand that. However, it is the only option, that is available to me as an individual, which gives me any independent indications at all.

In any venture in life you have to look before you leap. In most things you have to take a quick look around to try and spot any obvious pitfalls and then rely on someone else. Even taking a new job - you can ask questions at the interview, but you trust the replies and you trust the company isn't going bust next week.

In this venture I can do some minor checking into MyFC, I can do some minor checking into EUFC, and I can look in here to help me form opinions. However, I don't have the time or the resources to do any more than minor checking smile

After that I have to go on trust. Over the six months or so, I have developed a reasonable amount of trust in Will Brooks and his team. If they were get-rich-quick, fly-by-night merchants they would have been gone by now. I also have to trust my own observations on this forum, and I have to trust the due diligence process.

Assuming that the due diligence comes out OK - I will be happy to give my support to a proposal for MyFC to buy into Ebbsfleet smile Assuming that goes through - we will then spend some money in the club shop and come to a few games.

I understand fully with where you are coming from, but, yea always a but, don't you feel that the supporters would have reacted with exactly the same knee jerk reaction that was seen on here. That there heart would rule there heads, as most of us if we are honest hate change and sometimes change takes a long time to implement due to our reluctance to accept it.If they had taken a straw pole at the last home game I believe that 99% of home supporters would have rejected the proposition out of hand. I to feel that we have been sold a pup. There again not knowing the full facts as far as the board goes, maybe they had very little option,Unless we get more information from them, and get there reasons, I assume people will stay unhappy with there actions.

All very odd, really, and I can't see much difference between what's happening at Ebbsfleet and an Abramovich or a whatsisname at Manchester City launching their takeover bids. People like that like to interfere in team matters, and the MyFC people want to do the same.

There's nothing revolutionary about MyFC at all, except for the fact that ownership is more diverse than with other "big money" takeovers and it's on a smaller scale. It's just a different set of people coming in and wanting to "play football".

I'm a MyFC member.

The difference is that all EUFC fans can join MyFC and have an influence on decisions.

I understand the reservations that EUFC fans have. I have a lot of reservaions myself. PArt of the reason I've joined MyFC is to see how it will work, and to help make it work.

Realistically, if a big investor came in the EUFC fans wouldn't get a say in the decision. The investor would more than likely want a return on his investment, unlike MyFC which is non-profit making.

I'd much prefer that all EUFC fans embrace MyFC, but I'm a realist - if the majority either approved, or didn't mind either way, I'd see that as a good start. I'd hope to win over the doubters at a later date.

Why not sort out a poll in your local newspaper so that we can find out your views?

Chris.

Legal Agreement

It helps though when the explanations that you are providing are actually correct. So I'll direct you to the legal documentation setting out the agreement between My Football Club Limited and My Football Club Society Limited You'll notice that the name I used is per that in the legal documentation.

The worm has definitely turned. Original Ebsfleet fans (I'm assuming) are now informing MFC members about their Society! I was also going to point out JohnB's mistake. He is not alone and I think other MyFC members would benefit from reading their own Society's rules and the contract with the website operator.

It is always good to learn. And learning is a two way street.

At least my mistake was only in the naming of the two organisations - not the mistake of believing that a Ltd Company was going to own the shares tongue

*wanders off looking for a worm to see if its turning*

If that was in reference to me, a look at my profile will tell you that I'm not a Fleet supporter, more a fan of a club that has been a permanent fixture in your top 10 poll. I should want this deal to go through, as at least it would mean none of you lot getting your hands on my club.
