I expect it is not that Gary has not put anything on here - more likly he was given duff info about the news, and currently has nothing to put on here at the momment.

That was the jist of this thread - fans told there will be news and then nothing appears!

Unfortuately Gary & Chris S are being let down by others, but are having to take the flack for the lack of communications.

oooh staines rebel you are an unhappy bunny you need to chill out man, staines are on the box tonite and might give stockport a run for their money,

having said that i totally agree with you about the manager situation what manager anywhere can sustain their job on the current record i can only think that he must have friends and is one of the lads, gets the drinks in etc. honestly do you know even any serious pub teams that if you miss trainning you still get a place in the side.

my question is how many games have we got to lose before a change of manager is made.any new manager appointed needs a fair amount of time to turn things around and avoid relegation.

fair point Ted, the faclity has been included in the project , but subject to the west wing and the council working together to see where their new home will be, either in the stadium complex or the community centre farnham road or some where else ? but its a question we can not answer at the moment...

The decision may not now be made as quickly as we hoped.

There was to be a special Cabinet meeting on the 18th December (the Cabinet meeting is the most important one, not scrutiny) for the Cabinet to decide on the Heart of Slough project, and Arbor Vale was to be tagged on to that meeting) I understand that the 18th December meeting may (stress may) not now be held, in which case the next Cabinet meeting will be at the end of Jan/early Feb. Bottom line is that the council will work to their own timetable, not ours.

It is the Cabinet who decide on whether to go ahead. Scrutiny only offer an opinion/advice, and their meetings mirror but preceed the Cabinet meetings. No Cabinet meeting, no scrutiny meeting.

There is no guarantee that a Cabinet meeting will make a decision when they next meet. They could defer a decision for further information, more talks/further negoitiation etc.

No doubt things will get clearer in the next few days.

That will only be the first hurdle--agreement in principle. Any proposal would still have to go to planning. There's a long way to go yet.

Now that's the question ...the club and its supporters have done a great job ...so far..its a catch 22 situation ..we all want the best for the Rebels, and also trying to stem the outgoings...getting the two balanced is the name of the game...

Like walking a tight rope ..... all donations and help always received ....and gratefully received....but if the deadline is move back ..it makes it even harder..

Thats why if anyone can get sponsorship however small will help... cheers

I find it fantastic to see the amount of care there is for the club and continuing support despite the worst set of results since before 1914. We all want good news, and whilst everyone will have some different views, we are united in wanting progress to be made on a new ground. It can be healthy to test the strength of our position, but it does not always help if those who put in a lot of effort feel their effort is being criticised. We WILL succeed. We want it to be at this site because this will bring us 'home' the soonest.

Up The Rebels!

Thanks hayes rebel..... we must move on...

Roger

please remember the trust members make the decision, and the trust members are slough supporters and if it means a gamble to put into action the best proposal the club has and we need as a club a bit of help, what do you think they might do ?

As a ex trust board member I respect and understand the problems that the board have , they are duty bound by articles of the trust constitution, and have a duty to their members too.

Good luck hope you get answer you want, and while your at it ask if the can have a copy of the minutes of the meetings.

I understood that the Trust was set up to take over the Club if thing went tits up ie Roy and Bernard say that's it I'm off, not to fund it while the owners wait for the Goose to lay the Golden Egg.

Roger , we all would have to pick up the peices..The trust and those left behind ...so why are we not giving the current proposal a chance? its the best we have had for years and a great deal and time and effort has been put in to secure a future... but why are you so negative with the proposal on the table ? Have you heard something that we are not a party too ? did your trip to Dartford have something to do with it ...?

let us know....

Roger, are you a member of the trust? if so ask Mike yourself? If you are not, I'm sure he'll give you an answer. So instead of airing it all on here just ask in person.

Why is everyone on here trying to top everyone all the time. We are all adults, we all know each other at games, can't we talk then?

Yes we have seen it all before. ie stadiums. no money. etc etc Bickering like a bunch kidson a forum about this, that, blah blah blah and blah solves nothing. Why can't people, (not just aimed at you Roger or you chris) talk about things like this in person, not on here so every sod from every other club can look at this and Laugh at our expense?

All this bickering is beginning to put me off. I want my team to do well, but I am getting annoyed at all the crappy us and them crap. It's bad enough that we are sheit on the pitch without all of us falling out.
