I think mascot's are great-anything to add a bit of variety,talking point, something different,get the kids talking and bringing their mates.

 

I must admit that i can't see the benefit in adding the 'Ali'.

 

Would be interested to know if that is` because Margator was first 'invented' during the Parmenter era;and they have copyright to 'Margator'.

I think the mascot looks fantastic but as I was saying yesterday to a few people he definitely needs shirt and shorts. There's got to be some spare kit laying around for him to wear next week - I've been told by the person who's inside the constume that Margator is going to Billericay! If Rambo reads this or even Jake maybe the two of them can sort out a spare kit for Margator. Surely there's one spare. And hopefully he can have his own kit eventually, with his name and a number on the back of the shirt!

I'm all for bringing entertainment into the game,both before kick-off & at half-time. No harm in having a mascot either in my view. Yes,it will bring people into the ground & thats a good thing, but this particular mascot neither portrays our club or coincides with the team colours.Another mascot(anyone thought of a costume of a "gate") dressed in its proper colours, blue & white. It would then look decidedly better.

Please do not use that one again pleeeease! It was embarassing(but only for the reasons I've mentioned).Offer it to Horsham!
