There are 5 tabs of information on this front page.

There is quite a bit more available to members inside, including the forums.

Months ago they were not accepting money, and registration, was just e-mail address and some other info. At that point, we only had that front page as well.

When they started accepting money (rather recently) it was a seperate registration process.

This second registration process is when we finally got access to a members section.

So basically 50,000 gave their e-mails before, and 20,000 responded to the e-mail requesting credit card payment.

Hope that helps...seems like I just wrote a bunch of gobblety gook actually

I appreciate that for business resons, numbers who had registered/ paid was restricted until the Ebbsfleet deal was published.

The Myfc site still only shows 53,000 registered - in July 2007.

In due course, will more up to date figures be published, ie how many have paid up say by November 30th?

I think if the numbers fully enrolled and subscribed hit 30,000, most local supporters will realise the huge amounts of money generated will only benefit the club, and will join as well.

I know I will.

I think it is just for legal reasons that we can't know that. In the members section there is another ticker, and it just has "xxxxx" where the numbers should be. I really would like to know these numbers as well. Rest assured, as soon as they are available in the members section, somebody will share them in this forum.

We do know somethings - Approx. £700,000 had been rasied up to last weekend - this equates to about 20,000 members (maybe a little less given the fact that some members paid for three years when registering.

We also know that there have been significant sign-ups in the last two days - possibly 2,000-3,000 extra and sign-ups are continuing at about 30-50 per hour.

Since the announcement MyFC has raised in the region of an extra £100,000 to invest in the club (if the takeover goes ahead)

Gary, the reason we don't know the numbers just now is to protect our negotiating position - if the number of members signed up was public knowledge it would've been a simple extrapolation to work out the money in the purchase fund and therefore for a club owner to know how much he could try and squeeze out of us.

As the chaps have pointed out, presumably that will be info available to us once the particulars have been sorted out, as there is a field on the website that says "Club Funds : £x,xxx, xxx"

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if we're around the 25K mark already though!

I looks as if MyFc are recruiting around 1000 newbies per day. Assuming the interest will die down in around a fortnight, it can be guestimasted that an addition 15,000 (or £400,000+) may well be on board by the month's end.
I wonder if the recruiting will snowball, or just die off.

Haven't been on politics.ie for a while - MyFC can be timeconsuming - I have been (un)fortunate not to have had a lot of work this week (temporary teacher) so have ended up here. Will be gone for most of the weekend so you will have to survive without me.

By the way - nice to know that people are investigating my past.

There was always going to be a spike when the announcement was made - same thing happened when Halifax announced they had approached us. It will tail off at a certain point - Personally I would be happy with a 25,000 total. Solid base to work from and also some wiggle room for slippage next year (which hopefully won't happen).

Oh well....looks like I am in the minority once again ( not that that bothers me in the slightest !).....I will sit in my chair and pay a few dollars to follow the MIGHTY Kalamazoo Outrage now ( not that I know f*ck all about them !!) I'll probably write off the £000's spent as bad debt ( it's good enough for the Barclays b*stards !)...or maybe just put it down to ( another !) experience !!

Everyone is everybody else !! ( in the words of the song )

Happy Days !

We could spend Saturday afternoons in the Ascot Arms remembering when we used to have a local football team.

Ironically Dave, us locals still refer to it as The Central !!

However, as an update, it is now under new ( and seemingly good ) management. The heating has been serviced and is now working properly. There is a big screen that shows the Sky Soccer Saturday programme. The gardens are being tidied up grin so it no longer looks like the Munsters weekend place.

And....the landlady is getting some real ales in !! I can think of worse places to be !

Cheers,
