To see it this way..

Yes. There will be morons that have signed up to MyFC. They will make stupid choices, and they will find it funny.

However.. Will this ridiculous minority over rule the majority of people, that know how much this club means to everyone, and want to see the club succeed?

Yes. It does seem ridiculous, loads of non-Ebbsfleet fans putting money in just to run a club, you may be thinking "what are thier motives?" or "where is our club going to go from here?"

However.. you need to ask yourselves, the morons that don't really care, will they renew in a years time when they're asked for another £35? Or will it just be the fans that want success left?

At the end of the day, YOU are the fans.. YOU are entitled to your opinion.. and it is YOU that matters, as well as the future of this club. As far as i see it, accept the money from the minority of morons that don't care what happens, chances are.. once the novelty has worn off for them, they'll even stop voting in 8-12 weeks, if not before!

Ride out the media hype, yeah maybe there will be abuse from away teams for a little while.. but will that abuse still be coming this way in a years time, when hopefully, Ebbsfleet will be pushing for promotion, if not already promoted in this season?

All i can say is, give it a chance.. Take the money that is being thrown this way, it will go a long long way. I can see, in a years time.. the morons will have left, but the money will still be pouring in from those that are dedicated, which a fair proportion of which, i hope.. will be YOU, the fans.

If 5% of people attend a game, and 1% buy a replica shirt.. you will make a nice little profit. Accept this money, it will do wonders.

Fans are always sceptical when thier club gets taken over.. just ride it out, see where it goes.. and think, as i said, in a years time, what will be left is a group of dedicated people, who want to see this club succeed, a group of people that will not be making a profit from it, unlike other clubs chairmen.

Your money, your club, your future.. let MyFC help you achieve it.

Thanks.

Also.. say 1% of MyFC members got really attached to the club.. just 1%..

200 people, coming to games.. then say they bring a friend.. that's 400. Make that sometimes some of them will bring 2 mates, that is 500 people. Up to 500 increase in ticket sales. I don't know how much the tickets are.. is it £13?.. that is £6500 more, per game.

This works in theory.. wether in practise it actually works or not is another matter.. however, if it does, not only are you getting the cash injection on a yearly basis, but also where MyFC says you will still be getting funds from other sources, e.g ticket sales.. these funds will be increasing.

Money = opportunity. Ride it out.

You keep saying that you are the club and you'd rather go part time than this. Do you speak for the players? The coaching staff? The club staff? All of those people have their livelihoods at stake. If you go part time, where do all those people go?

You're absolutely right that the core supporters are important. I have never ignored that, but they're not alone in this scenario.

no i don't.

however Lance Cronin, played in goal for the england non-league side, daish took us to just outside the playoffs, im sure he could get a job again. Considering he puts in the effort to get up to us from down near havant and waterlooville(he did at least i thought he did)? charlie mac got a club in the leagues, sodje got a better pay packet at York. mark bentley now plays for gillingham, once played for us...

Its not like anyones livelihood is more/ or less ruined then it was b4 this

I am not a member of MyFC..just to get that straight.

Just came on here trying to help you see the positive from what is the ever increasing negative. It is worth a go, i can't see them leaving you in a worse financial position. The real fans should get behind it too, put the money in, build the profile of the club!

But that ignores the current state of things. The current board has said publicly that it won't keep bankrolling the club from the directors' personal pockets. Barring a new investor--like MyFC--what's the alternative? Dismantling the club altogether? I can't believe you'd prefer that to a purchase by a group who plans to add additional money every year, increase your attendance, and increase merchandise sales, publicity, and sponsorship.

I understand everyone's reservations over the selection of players, etc. But you have to know that MyFC doesn't want this to fail. If the player selection system is crap, we'll be sure to change it. The rest of the purchase plan seems to be exactly what your club has been asking for, yes?

yes, i agree no-one wants it to fail

yes i agree the board wanted to get money back and this is the right time to do so! Lets face it the line of sugar daddys to buy out GNFC/EUFC was absolutely [****!!****] all!

My problem is(maybe cos im a blind, tradionalist [****!!****]) how do 20,000 people pick a better squad, buy better players, basically run our football club better then it is now?

I'm sorry i just fail to see how it works. Your in america, so apart from the manager saying "he was really good last game" how do you decide who shud be bought, who should play?

I dont want to insult MyFC peoples intelligence, but the more i think about it, the more i think you have been gyped of your £35

Gordon, I read where you said you wouldn't be coming back, but I hope you reconsider. To answer your questions:

The part of that equation we can do differently is bring investment every year the club didn't have before. With time, we'll learn from the current staff about the squad's strengths and weaknesses and what can be done to strengthen it. We're not suggesting we're 20,000 football geniuses, but as a group we have a lot of varied talents and can use what we learn from LD and the staff to make the club stronger.

You're absolutely right. I can't get to many games. But MyFC is already working on details to make detailed coverage of games available to members around the world. Whether it's live or not, and in what format, I don't know. But I have to work a bit harder than local members will to stay informed. But as I don't split my allegiance with a local club, all my time will be spent learning about the Fleet.

Again, I hope you won't abandon the club. We want and can use your knowledge and the club will always need your support.

Timmy, I'm sure all of those possibilities are being discussed as the due diligence process continues. I'm afraid for the first few games, I'll be reduced to watching ESPN's Gamecast feature (graphics plus a text commentary). Sure wish Setanta's North American coverage included the Conference games.
