A confession & a question

The Confession

I am a self confessed naive toady. I joined MFC because I largely trust the judgment of our Board & because I was impressed by the freshness, enthusiasm & idealism of what I read from many from MFC. (No not all of them. The idiot otherwise known as the gaffer was spouting his rubbish on the MFC site today. It prompted a huge response with scores of people giving him every bit as good a thumping as he got on here yesterday.)

The Question

Imagine: we did not approach MFC. Other Conference clubs did & one, say Halifax as they admit they applied, was chosen. Some of you, who are outraged at what has happened, could genuinely say you would have said you were glad we had not sold out. But how many others would have been on here abusing our Board for their head in the sand shortsightedness in not having the gumption or imagination to go after backing that would bring cash for players, clear debts, bring in extra supporters virtually overnight & not involve selling out to some crook who might discard us on a whim?

Be honest.

How about being given a choice?

did you vote on that then...?

From what I've just been reading, it was a fairly spontaneous and ongoing drubbing. He's now referring to himself exclusively in the third person. Can't beat that thread for entertainment.

Put it this way - gaffer opened a thread on the MyFC forum saying we should treat Ebbsfleet fans with the contempt they deserve for their reaction, change the name of the club and move it etc tec

he got more responses in a quicker time that the actual news yesterday on the same site. Over 100 posts later on that thread he hasn't had one person not kick him in the nuts (metaphorically obviously)

A good argument, I just can't help thinking we've become no better than MK Dons.
