The reality of all MyFC team selection speculation

Sorry for the long thread title

I am part of the MyFC cult that have invaded the forum, I wanted to clear up any myths about the team selection.

First of all i don't think the systems will be in place until early 2008 at least. The deal needs finalising and the apporpriate testing etc. needs to be done to make sure nothing crashes at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon.

If people are worried that the Championship Manager generation will come on wanting to play 3-3-4 or 4-5-1 with the big CB up front and the team getting spanked 6-0 then look at it logically.

We'll have 30,000 people having an input and the vast majority will click the box 'Let the manager get on with it.' I know that will be my selection and posts on our forum suggest many agree. Its far too big a membership for stupid extreme selections or formations to make it though the selection process.

The rest of the users who have a different opinion will be so divided that in percentage terms i bet you find that it is very very rare that anything different to what is being reccomended by the head coach actually happens and if it is different it will probably only be the odd player and not a massive formation change.

A lot of us MyFC'ers are buying into the idea of being a part of the idea and theory behind MyFC. I'm happy to put my £35 in a year and buy a shirt and watch a few matches.

What we do want to bring to the table is working with the club and building an academy, increasing revenue streams through the MyFC idea and giving the manager some cash to get the club into the league.

We're not all 13 year olds wanting to mess around with your club.
