on this one - MyFC did not approach EUFC. The directors of EUFC approached MyFC. Brian Kilcullen made it clear in his comments today that he and the other directors were no longer willing to bank-roll ongoing club debts. They searched for alternative investors and decided that an approach to MyFC was the best option available for the club.

and as was repeatedly asked when this issue was raised - where?

No matter where MyFC would go to do this it would involve stepping on toes. Whether it was a tier 5 or tier 9 or tier 12 club - there are clubs in every nook and cranny in the country. Is a tier 5 club more important than a tier 12 club?

As has been pointed out earlier - would this include (1) the shareholders (2) the season ticket holders (3) those who go to every game but don't have a season ticket (4) those who go to home and away games (5) those who go to just home games (6) those who go to most/some/a few games each season. (7) those who are committed EUFC fans but can't go to any games for what ever reason (8)those who attended the last game (or the next one). I am not trying to be funny - but you get the picture. I would hope we get some form of consensus over the next 6-8 weeks and move forward from there - if not we'll see what happens then.

Again something that has been pointed out - very few votes seperated the clubs placed in third and 50th or 60th place. We only saw the top 15 - so any club below that would have been out of the blue - and remember members could change their votes as often as they liked and many did. Coupled with this is the fact that nine clubs approached MyFC and MyFC approached eight others - many were ruled out for various reasons and an agreement was reached between EUFC and MyFC.

Halifax was one - confidentiality agreements prohibit disclosure of the others (and you know that). If MyFC was to disclose the other clubs it would leave MyFC open to legal action. As for a vote - couldn't happen for the same reason - indeed there wasn't actually supposed to be a vote on the takeover at all as MyFC membership doesn't begin until the club is purchased (again you should have read the stuff on the website before you joined).

I don't know either - but then again we don't know if the agreement is valuing the club at £1.5million - this is a figure you have calculated.

The math's not a problem, but the facts aren't right. The announcement didn't specify the purchase price or the percentage of shares bought. The 51% was our minimum goal. We don't know how much has actually been purchased. And we don't know how much money MyFC between the membership fees and the EA Sports sponsorship.

All we've learned is that a controlling interest was agreed upon. The details won't come out until after the deal is approved and signed.

That's probably what happened. They confused some of the numbers from different stories. Not surprised. Half the media coverage has had the website address wrong from the start. Oh well.

Points answered, thank you. Frustration releived. On point three though.... Surely EUFC have a list of their shareholders and Season Tix holders that would be more than happy to Vote on this.

And just my personal observations here ...Who ever is in command of Public Relations at MyFC should be Sacked/canned/fired.

The ground work for the announcement and its after affect was poorly executed.

1.Will Brookes should have met/meet with EUFC shareholders/Season tix holders to answere questions they may have.

2.Those who work for EUFC, Im sure they have worries.

The cameraman who films for the team was on these forums yesterday and he seemed rather concerned about his future.

3.We should have made repeated request on our forums about the stupidness of going on takeover clubs forums.

You should have seen it, disgraceful.

4.Lets remember that we are dealing with people here.People with much invested ( Emotions, community and some livelihoods).

Communication and a little less arogance is needed IMHO.

To the existing fans we are a cult by definition, yes.

"Cult roughly refers to a cohesive social group devoted to beliefs or practices that the surrounding culture considers outside the mainstream, with a notably positive or negative popular perception."

Yes that was from Wikipedia!

I am a MyFC member.

I had voted for a different team before the announcement, but changed my vote after learning more about the team.

I assure you that I am not a member of a cult.

I was not duped into believing that my vote will change the club.

My vote will usually be "Liam's Choice", or the like.

I understand that my money is lost forever for the team to do with as it wishes.

I joined with the ambition of watching a team with a financial injection ascend through the tables as I watch its games with great interest and wear a replica shirt with pride.

I believe that the existing board of EUFC will apply these additional funds with prudence.

I have faith that the negativity of a few will not spoil the success of this venture.

I appreciate all members of all involved associations that truly wish success for the team.

I believe that chat rooms and web threads are a magnet for those that do not play well with others, and in reality, the negative posts are not representative of the true pool of EUFC.

I payed for potential promotion.

HERE'S TO A GREAT SEASON!!
