In a word, no. He doesn't own the club, the trust does.

Nice...very pleasant and oh so helpful. To answer the question about Will Brooks changing his mind in a few years. His company, the website operator, don't own the club. They only own the website. Individually, he is a member of the trust, too, but as such has the same single vote everyone else has. So, no, he can't single-handedly do anything of the sort.

When I read about the website I couldn't believe that any club would be interested let alone nine, the fact that nine were says more about the people running the clubs than it does the legitimacy of the idea. I just cannot see it working, 20,000 people voting on the running of a club, no manager worth their weight will put up with that for too long and even if it does work to start with what happens when the majority of the members get bored and don't renew their membership one year? What happens to a club that has a squad based on a budget that is only sustainable from 20,000 x £35 each year.

I feel sorry for the fans of Ebbsfleet and hope that one day they get their club back.

Ebbsfleet i believe currently sit 10th in the league (5 or so places outside playoffs) and you know something they did that on their own merit without your BIG CASH you are promising.

A football club isn't only a success because of money if it was chelsea would be top of the prem right now and not dropped a point.

Oh and what's to say that the 20,000 votes will be fairly counted and reported? even with independent adjudication no one is above a bribe if the price is right. I believe that you have all been duped by a clever man. And i think many more than 20,000 people throughout the world would agree with my viewpoint..... that makes my arguement so much stronger than yours YAY for the power behind numbers ! ! !

Fairplay to them getting there without our help.
suggesting I'm stupid is of no merit to the conversation. I suggest you cease this line of conversation and continue to debate, it's much more civilised.
As for the voting method, well it will need to be fair. The fact that voting can be rigged and cheated is not a reason to stop democracy is it? Surely it just means the process needs to be carefully thought out and supervised.

I didn't suggest you are stupid i aksed the question, To to which a no would have sufficed.
so conversation and democracy are the way forward......?

Think back to yesterday morning when EUFC fans were told the future of their club rather than invited into a dicussion regarding their future.

Don't guide me towards democracy and debate when all MYFC did was go behind the existing fan bases back to secure something for their own gain you hypocrite.

MyFC didn't go behind anyone's backs. They went to the people who run and own the club. The majority shareholders. If the fans were not told by anyone it was the club not MyFc.
Myfc went down exactly the correct channels that anyone attempting to purchase a football club would. And for the last time, MyFC were approached by the football club and not the other way around.
I am not a hypocrite and your tone is constantly offensive. I don't really care if you are bothered. This is happening, get on board or get out.

If this is your attitude to fans of the football club you are taking over then maybe it's you that should get out.

CSG I actually have a positive view of the fans and understand the issues, if you read the rest of this thread you will see I have put up with more than my fair share of c£$p from one individual and have only tried to converse and debate issues. He is more than capable of holding a conversation but feels it necessary to throw in the odd personal remark. So I think you read this at the point where I had enough of it!

With all due respect it doesn't really matter how you've been treat previously surely, if you are trying to get your point across to fans of the club who are quite rightly in my view anxious about the situation then saying "This is happening, get on board or get out" is not the way to go about it no matter how riled you feel.

Could you answer the question in my previous post: "what happens when the majority of the members get bored and don't renew their membership one year?"

Did you read the thread before you wrote that?

Not exactly, they will be running a squad on wages that their budget of two days ago would not cover.

Not true - any contracts for new players will have to be included in budgeting from known income - not projected. There are already proposals on the cards for the establishment of a reserve fund to avoid this eventuality.

Fair enough. I'll bring them with me if I can visit in December/January. Not sure about shaving my head, though. Not a pretty sight.

Surely when they sign players that will be known income, until the next year when that income could dry up and mean players having to be sold off to cover the shortfall, a reserve fund can only cover so long and so much.

I can only see this going two ways:

Either A) The members have so much say that the Manager and Coaching Staff walk out and you are unable to attract a suitable replacement or B) The members of myfc don't get enough say so don't renew their membership, leaving the club short of income.

Yes and doesn't that give Ebbsfleet fans another reason to worry, these people are going to have a vote on everything regarding their club. I do really feel for them.
