Server Issues

Well if not to make ourselves even more popular, we've managed to crash the website and force the club to have to upgrade their servers!

 

Perhaps we all need to chip in an extra 75p each.

It was working last night at 3am.

It was put up overnight (and will probably be again tonight) as with less traffic it at least gave some the opportunity to view it. We are on a shared server, which was sufficient for our needs up until now, but during the day this was obviously affecting every other customer on that server and so the hosts weren't keen to keep it running given that it was unviewable for the most part anyway.

 

And to the bloke on the other thread who maintained he could do it all in a jiffy, do bear in mind I have a full-time job on top of all this and wasn't expecting the impending avalanche of hits this week...

Any word on the shop section of the website coming up anytime soon or is the club ordering stock?

The website has never had an online shop, not sure where this idea has come from! I imagine there'll be an announcement about new merchandise/stock shortly, but preiously it has been operated by the club shop/Fleet Trust who did have a shop on their site for a time and as I recall were putting together another. Not sure where that project stands now. MyFC may well have better infrastructure to implement this, but that's only my two-penneth... the short answer is I don't know yet!
