Unlikely, but possible! And 1 million every year? Promise? Even if there is no promotion, no cup-run, no decision making, no influence?

If the money dosn't come in then there is no problem, you haven't had it so far and have been fine. No money no MyFC you are back were you were two days ago.

Truth is no one really knows how this will end. That probably scares you more than anything else. I am totally unsure at the moment but I do think the club could have been better chosen.

They should have made a new club and voted on name, colours, location and held trials for players, or helped out a club in severe financial need.

Don't you? What happens if you end up alienating the real fans of this club, and they can't take anymore. Then you lot get bored of your little non-league football experiment?

What happens then? I'll guarentee you'll have fewer members next year than this year, and fewer members the year after that

I wouldn't know I'm not a member of MyFC nor will I ever be. I would say that if the fans stop supporting the club because of new owners coming in they deserve to lose it.

The problem is, the club will be budgeting for money in players wages etc (not this year, but for years after) Then MyFC get bored and bugger off, along with their million quid, what then?

Yes ! that's the beauty of it. We only spend £35 quid each. We dont have fortunes to lose. The club is guaranteed an annual cash lump sum. Agreed, the better the club does the more members it will attract, but we have had 20,000 members with no club at all, so that is an inidication of the level of commitment.

This is excellent news! GUARANTEED annual cash sum! Hang on, if they gave us money once for one year only - that would also be annual, wouldn't it?

You had 20,000 members hoping to get Leeds, Forest or a club near them. See how many renew now that its a lowly non-league side!

Every single person travelling to Saturdays game with a smallie should be worried, is it?
Its not personal (well, apart from some of your members - am sure you know which ones).

You will be fine - go, enjoy the game, cheer when Fleet score - clue, they play in Red wink

And there in a nutshell is why this is doomed to failure. The dribbling mongs of MyFC will drive away the very people who are Ebbsfleets core support. Within a few games the numbers of new fans actually pitching up to games will reduce to a trickle with leaving that poor club in desperate trouble. But hey ho, it's only a bit of fun.

The voting did indeed carry Forest, Leeds, Arsenal and Man Utd up near the top of the table. It should be noted however that there were only a handful of votes between about 3rd place and 40th in Mid-September -ish when we were updated.

I think the reason for the silly votes is simple - when we signed up we had no indication of how far we could push it - ie how many members would come on board. Those, like me, who have been on the MyFC forums virtually everyday changed our votes and this carried teams like Accrington , Halifax and Cambridge up the league table.

Most MyFC members, however, have not used the forum until yesterday (we were given a percentage a few days ago) and so probably didn't alter their original votes keeping the likes of Leeds up there.

In terms of what could happen to Ebbsfleet, I am reaslitic and this could go tits up. However that is no different to any other takeover. Don't get me wrong what we're trying is novel indeed but that doesn't in itself mean it can't work.

If MyFC folds, no debts accrued by the MyFC membeship will belong to Ebbsfleet Utd - the rules of the thing mean all debts are associated with the MyFC trust. The worst that Ebbsfleet will get is a few years of decent investment followed by a sle of the club to the supporters trust for a nominal fee - as this is reaslitically what we would vote for.

Relegation could happen, but equally it could happen anyway. From what I've read from existing Ebbsfleet fans, it doesn't sound like too many fans venture to the matches aginst weaker opposition and it seems to be clear some sort of investment was needed.

As I said last night, there are a lot of unknowns, but (aside from the team selection bit) no more than with any other takeover.
