Oops my mistake - the poll is for the home game against Stafford, not the away game at Oxford

myfc member...

most weekends i will be watching the mighty "HULL CITY" with me being a life time supporter of the "TIGERS"

BUT, i will try to get to a few ebbsfleet games this season and in the seasons ahead.

any supporters of ebbsfleet in return are welcome to visit the kc stadium in hull and watch hull city play. your entrance fee will be accepted and the money will go to helping get hull city into the premiership.

i hope that the myfc thing will work out to be a great thing for

the supporters of ebbsfleet. i myself live in *scarborough and i know a few people up here who would have welcomed a myfc take over especially as now scarborough dont even have a stadium to play in and can only dream of being in the blue square premier league.

i just hope the long time fans of ebbsfleet will all end up happy over the events of the last few days..

ps.. good luck for the game at oxford.

pps... though i am a member of myfc i realise that in reality ebbsfleet belongs to the people who have followed the team week in and week out over the years...

( * born in hull so i support hull city )

Ouch....what an unwelcoming bunch.........can't say I'm surprised at the animosity but you guys should really give it a chance as you may well not be watching conference football next season.

Or perhaps you would rather stay where you are. Your management and Directors realise you cannot progress without additional funding so why can't you?

From a Rangers fan who was in Barcelona last week so I don't think I will be turning up at your games. However, you are getting my armchair support and my money!

OK. Have been in Turkey all week with a crappy internet connection but the airport in Istanbul kicks it bigtime so I have just been trying to catch up with all this.

First off, of course I will not 'kick off' with anyone who sits in my seat. I was fuming when I posted that. I may forego a pre match pint (shock horror) and get in there early :-)

Secondly, please don't compare me to Kenny. He is a Fleet legend up there with Woolfe, Portway and Cotter (look them up newbies)and I am not worthy.

Thirdly, the old shirt idea is a good one. I might wear one of mine even though I don't really like the design. Could sell tham on ebay to the plastics though...

Fourthly, I think that all the true Fleet fans should stick together on Saturday and sing ourselves hoarse in the cause of all this. Am not normally a singer but we need to stick together as in my opinion, we have been sold down the river here. The name change was bad enough but this is just daft. We all know who each other are and the Kassam is a big enough place.

Fifthly (getting bored with the number thing), I am from Gravesend so therefore support my local team and have done all my life. My dad hails from Hull and I follow their fortunes, watch them when on Sky and have even been to Boothferry Park as a kid. However, I would not pay money to a website to have 'a say' in what goes on there. Judging by some of the posts I have read this morning, some of these people are plainly idiots who have no concept of what is going on here. Others, like the Hull fan are clearly more balanced so we shall have to wait and see on that score.

What has been overlooked here (or maybe I have not seen the thread, I have a lot of reading to do)is the fact that we have been rubbish in our last two matches and this needs to be sorted out. Anyone from MFC.com are whatever it's called got any ideas? Maybe we can Fleetwood in January or get Backs on loan in the US close season? I hear that this is possible on football management PC games.

I am sincerely glad of the cash injection, who wouldn't be? However, I find the whole concept completely flawed as I cannot see how it is sustainable. Not been on the MFC site yet as don't want to be seen crying and screaming in front of work colleagues but I know that I will not sign up for it even though it is the Fleet. Daish is the manager, not some spotty kid who was a QPR fan but changed to Chelsea when they got Jose in. It's tragic.

The internet has many brilliant points such as online scrabble, porn and keeping me in employment but there are also the downsides such as this.

I really hope that as many of the 800 or so 'proper' Fleet fans make it up to Oxford on Saturday to get behind the team and show what this club means to them. Train and match tickets booked a while back so all is good for me. Oxford will possibly be the most interesting Fleet game I will have ever been to but for all the wrong reasons. If Jason and Brian read this, please do not go through with this deal? You didn't listen to us about the name change, even with the apparent 'consultation'.

PLEASE LISTEN NOW!

Looking into my Lionel Ball, I think that the waters are going to be as choppy as the med was when I was walking on the beach on Tuesday blissfully unaware of the chaos ensuing at OUR FOOTBALL CLUB.

Have rambled on a bit but forgive me as I still have well over an hour to wait for my flight home.

Up the Fleet.

Hi Jeff, hope you had a good holiday !

Im a member of myfc and also a life long Yeovil fan, not one of these so called computer geeks (i still type one fingered ).I Have supported Yeovil through the dark days of low crowds and non league football below the conference and so know what its like, i think i would have felt the same as you initially if this had happened to my club.

But -- have a good look at the myfc site and read the really positive stuff that is going on in their forums and join it, you will then be an owner of Ebbsfleet rather than fighting against something that you admit you havnt fully looked into .

I joined cause i wanted to be part of a club that listened to the fans instead of just having a shout from the terrace and a discussion in the pub, now we can put our money where our mouth is and really make a difference .

So im going to Oxford on sat cause i live about 30 miles away and i will be cheering for the fleet as a suporter also i will be in the priory pub about one and would love to meet you and have a drink , and any other fleet fans - there is no us and them, we are all fans.

Cheers

Nick

So you sit in you chair, having paid your £35, but have a say in how the club is run, policy & transfers etc., if I understand correctly.Whereas I buy a season ticket + shares + beers in the bar ( every little helps !) + plus merchandise ( for a bit more than £35 ! )and get f*ck all say.......

Quite brilliant !

To be honest Hirsty I suspect that the Nickyouclub.com boys get to fill in a weekly questionaire for which privilege they have to pay. They will have as much say in what goes on as most of us have ever had, jack all.

Take their money and laugh at them when they turn up, they will soon get bored.

Recommended reading on this subject might well be a short story called Pawleys Peepholes by John Wyndham.

Spend yer £35 and have an equal say as everyone else........

I think you will find all myfc members are foremost football fans with an allegiance to there own club and Ebbsfleet will be an interest NOT a passion in the first instance. The passion is in the existing support, thus your understandbly negative posts.

I will attend a few matches but mostly in the North of England.....time and travelling being restrictive. You now have a support base throughout the UK and the team will be supported far more on their travels than is the case now. The home support will increase as will the revenue.

MyFC may well become majority shareholders but I am of the opinion that most recommendations/proposals made by the current management and Board will be rubber stamped by MyFC.

You will notice increased gates, greater public interest and maybe just a couple of good signings in January which may push the club into a playoff place.Surely all current supporters would like to see The Fleet in the Football League?

Its not all doom and gloom you know

The tickets are numbered for seats but last year everyone just sat where they wanted to....cannot speak for this saturday though ! although I can't expect it will be any different.

You miss the point Barred !

People who spend £35 have more say than someone who has spent £000's! I call that a stitch up !!

Needless to say that I won't be paying a valuable £35 further to join MyFC ! I'll spend it on something more rewarding, like beer !!

Regards,
