Interesting to note that BR comes in at half time - thus ensuring that he does not pay.

Typical.

 

 

 

We should give passes to people who want to go into the Bar at half time and make new people who want to watch the second half pay until 20 mins left.

 

I heard one of the Canvey supporters say last night that they make people pay after half time.

We charge up until the final whistle. Back in the pre-Conference days we used to open the gates at half time and another 50 or so people would come in. When you need the money as we do we can't afford to have people coming in at h/t for nothing.

 

It seems as though you had the same problem last night as there were certainly more in there in the second half.

Are Town so well off that we don't need the money ?

Sure it will take someone to hand out the passes and be on the turnstill during half time but at 30 - 40 people x say £4 = another £120 - £160 per game.

 

There have been loads of "inititives" posted on here about raising money or raising attendences ( vouchers for kids / parents etc ) but no Board Members take these on. Why ?

 

Instead, it is the same few who pay up week in week out for golden goal, 50 - 50, etc etc.

 

When will the board listen ( and take on ) some fresh ideas to help this Club ?

Went to only my second town match this season, tuesday. Bloody awful left with my son and my mate before the end.
It looks like things have stagnated off the pitch and got worse on it in the last 2 years.
I think some fresh ideas are definitely needed. I think a covered terrace is long long overdue the park end.
Being a fans club you would think that looking after the fans would be a priority. but.....
But i am sure the board want what you and others want a succesful Enfield Town playing at a decent ground.
I think they do need some new ideas probably, have you ever thought about putting your ideas to the electorate by standing for election to the board?
