Funnily enough.Watching England last night reminded me of quite a few Enfield Town perfomances this season.Best players not available,formation and line-up a bit of a shambles.Players not playing to their potential.The feeling that if we could string three passes together we could score at will.The feeling that we look like conceeding evertime the oppo counter attack...etc.

Agree with everything you say re England effort (haven't had the chance to watch ETFC yet....but the day will come!).
Just watched the game on ESPN and two things really stood out:
1. The passion displayed by the 39 year old Croatian Manager.
He really got involved not only with those on the field but also his subs and assistants. Went something went wrong he took it with a wry smile and a 'thats football' shrug of the shoulders. McLare looked bored/worried/bored/worried/etc.
2. The pitch was terrible...our local 'Top Ground..Gissing Oval has a better surface and we're in the 7th year of a drought.
New surface I know but it was pretty ordinary.
