The Football Association this morning have confirmed that the FA Cup Second Round Proper ties selected to be broadcast live on TV are:-

FRIDAY 30 NOVEMBER 2007 – 7.45PM

Horsham vs. Swansea City – Live on Sky

 

SUNDAY 2 DECEMBER 2007 – 1.10PM

Harrogate Railway vs. Mansfield Town – Live on BBC

The FA Live TV fee is £75,000 per club.

Good luck to Horsham are the TV channels now feeling embarrassed that they think clubs from the Ryman Premier League are not good enough to be shown on TV after our great performance against Swansea.

Surely everyone out there in football land is now aware that they may have underestimated the standard of the Ryman League and may possibly take us a little more seriously in future.

It's great news for Staines & Horsham and good luck to them.

 

I suppose we have to be philosophical about it and take it on the chin. Hopefully if they can both put up decent shows it will increase the chances of Ryman teams getting on TV in future years.

 

Presumably we'll now be selling our Swansea info to Horsham now they're loaded :-)

Why should Ricay be concerned about that if they do (sorry - that's my BBB trait coming out).
Seriously - £75,000 apiece should ensure that they're able to bolster their squads later in the season to enhance their title chances.

i think you can guarantee that horsham will spend their money on players as they are already moving to a new ground next season.

...and there's not too much wrong with Staines facilities either, even putting a bit of cover up at either end of their ground would be wasted on their paltry 200+ attendances !
