Basically Daish implied that all fans have a opinion, before and after a game, about players etc etc,and they let him know, but if he takes any notice is down to him.

Then the many thousands who have sunk their money into this scheme have been sold a pup!
They don't actually own the club, the Trust does!
They don't actually pick the team, the manager still does!

Not much for 35 quid, is there?

As I said before,,,,,,,I wish I had thought this one up!

I have started up a new scheme, nothing like this one!
It is called My-Baseballteam. You all send me 50 quid, we need about 30,000, to make it viable, and we takeover New York Yankees.......For your 50 quid, you get to own..............No it is nothing like Myfc. Perish the thought!

The manager becomes the head coach.

The manager can give a suggested team line up and tactics.

MYFC members have the final say. Not the Manager, because there isn't one.

The head coach can make last minute changes for injuries etc and the head coach will also decide tactic changes and substitutions once the game is in play.

PatMan,

This if from the FAQ of Myfootballclub.co.uk. A page that would cut out a lot of silly argument if perhaps one or two locals took the trouble to read it.

PICKING THE TEAM

“How will the team be picked?”

The Head Coach will brief members. This will include a review of the previous match, reports from the training ground and views on the forthcoming opposition. He will also give his thoughts on players, their form and fitness, as well as possible selections and tactics.

Members will then submit their preferred 11, formation and tactics. A database will calculate the most popular choice. This will be handed to The Head Coach to instigate.

“How will players react to being picked by thousands of members rather than a manager?”

It will inspire them. Having the backing of tens of thousands of members will be the ultimate motivation. Don’t forget, personality clashes between managers and players are common in football and often lead to poor performances. Our club will not suffer from this. Players will know that if they play well then they should get picked.

Yes, now when you get back to reality... How do you think you can pick a team for a Tuesday night after a Saturday game? Suspensions, injuries, opposition, indivdual performance etc will all have to be taken into account.
Well? See, not such a silly point after all is it!

PatMan,

Have you even looked at the website??

Out of the £35 around £7 of this is going towards the website. This is already being set up to have video screens, voting buttons, forums and team / league information.

Not all members need to vote, although it is hoped as many as possible will.

This is why you "Real" fans should join, because you will be getting the say that you have wanted all these years. I keep hearing about 35 quid being nothing compared to all the £££'s you have all put in over the year, so £35 quid more wont really hurt will it?

They'd need to get an awful lot more than just 100s to register. I understand your point but with over 20K members (and rising) it's not likely to be something to worry about, really.

I've read it, several times, yet it appears there are people on your own forum who aren't clear on this because they're discussing how it will work too. Get it sorted amongst yourselves and then come and tell us how it REALLY will work.

But a very small proportion of the members will have seen the team play. The Daily Mail says members come from 70 different countries, how on earth are they going to know how well a player performs?
Why would a player be inspired by your decision? Surely they'd be more content with the manager's decision, as the manager has a wealth of experience.
What experience do any of you have with football, let alone the team? The 900 people who already attend, a small proportion of which who will sign up will have little influence over the vote of 20,000..some people are saying 50,000 "fans."

You missed the point - who is going to feed you the information to put on the website?
The "Head Coach"? I can really see Liam sitting down at his PC afer a 200 mile trip back on Saturday evening, giving an update on the players. And then again on Monday, after checking the fitness of injured players - the first thing he does is update the info. This then gets uploaded to the website, and then you have to allow time to vote. This information is then passed back to Liam, who instigates your wishes.... Practical? Workable?
