my apologies for my three posts last night.

It was my 21st and as you can imagine alcohol with this "great" birthday present was a nasty combo! I kind of let it get the better of me and was rude, offensive, so I apologise.

However I still think its an awful idea and I still feel that the club is doomed.

I dont want to start another new post so I would like to ask a few questions here:

1. How much is the club actually valued at? So how much of the 700k spent on buying it?

2. therefore how much money actually gets put into the club for players etc?

3. Do people who have paid £35 already have to pay more in the future and are they willing to keep doing this even if we don't climb the leagues?

4. will all these new members think about buying a shirt?

5. Is anyone who doesn't like this protesting at any point, even if it is useless to do so?

6. So you now have a share in the club, if you attend games do you get in free? Do you expect to get in free? if you have to pay and we aren't doing as well as you liked, will you still come and pay to get in?

I can answer number three - that £35 is an annual membership fee so there's a new pot of money every season.

For point four Ive already seen members asking where they can buy kit (the official site went down, and when it came back up the online store wasnt there, maybe some technical problem or something) - at the very least Ebbsfleet's merchandising revenue will be healthy.

I can't answer 1 or 2 but the answer to 3 is that the £35 has to be paid yearly if the member still wants to participate, ensuring a steady revenue stream for the club. In terms of 4, I would think most people will at the very least consider it. As the gent above has pointed out a lot of people were disappointed to find out they couldn't immediately do so yesterday. 5 is obviously none of my business, but the answer to 6 is a categoric no, MyFC members will pay the standard £13.

No need to apologise at all GT. Alcohol does tend to loosing the vocal chords somewhat, but that can just give people more confidence to say what they feel.

Happy Birthday for yesterday. Enjoy the beer....before this Government ban it or price it out of the reach of the common man !

Cheers,

Hi First post! Speaking for myself here (as well as a couple of friends).

We're all happy to continue putting in our money as long as we're allowed to!

As soon as the shops back online I'll be purchasing a couple of shirts, I bet not many Ebbsfleet shirts around these parts!

As for getting in to games free, of course I expect to!

Actually, obviously I don't. Assuming I can get down to see YOU play (and I fully intend to try even though its a 4.5hour journey) then I'll happily pay to get in and buy a pie (are they any good?). I'm sure that many other myfc members feel the same.

I don't claim to know anything about the club or the players yet but I'm really really looking forward to learning.

Cheers

Dan

Really serious, honest question to you and to every MyFC member...
Why not support your local non-league side? Join their trust (if they have one)? Buy your LOCAL teams shirt?
You will get to see more games, feel more involved, and by actually GOING more often, be giving MORE money to the club!

I'm from Middlesbrough, we don't have a BSP side. There are others Conference North sides up near Newcastle (Boston springs to mind) or down to York/Harrogate but nothing I'd class as local. Also, it's easier to feel more involved when you can discuss your team with 20,000 other people that are interested. Don't get me wrong, I had hoped that MyFC (can't say MFC cos of the Boro!) would end up a bit further up North but that's not the way it's turned out.

Compared to actually GOING to the game and discussing it with the guy stood alongside you?

Give me strength - these people (think they) will be picking a team!

I'm still confused on how Ebbsfleets name didn't shoot to the top of your voting pile, until after it was announced you had taken over the club. At the moment of the press release, the Fleet were languishing in Eleventh as the club to take over!

I also wonder if/when this goes t!ts up, a certain person, who thought of trying this at Fulham a few years ago, Will suddenly come riding up on his white horse as a Knight in shining armour, and save the day, and the club!

I see you support a few teams PatMan, do you live near them all?

You're obviously a sports fan, why wouldn't you want to be involved?

I'd imagine that all the new members that have joined since the announcement simply chose Ebbsfleet as their preferred team

No, that would be impossible! My teams were chosen due to nationality, place of birth, place of residence. Not by some faked internet poll!
I support my teams by going to watch them! I feel involved when I watch them play, cheer when they win, curse when they lose.

Why would I want to be involved? I dont feel the need to pick the team, make transfers, run the club. I enjoy watching the game. Thats the level of my involvement - I just go and watch! Surely, as a sports fan, thats all ya need?

Good to see... As I understand it I would not expect free entry if I was a MyFC member. You have bought a share in the football club. I own 200 odd BP shares, it does not mean i expect to be able to drive on to a BP forecourt, fill and drive off without paying!!

So you can only be an Ebbsfleet supporter if you are English, were born in Gravesend or Northfleet and continue to live there?

Little bit on the narrowminded side I think.

That's your choice and you are perfectly entitled to have it - others like me want to be involved - why? - because football is nothing without the fans - and the one thing the fans don't have is any control over their sport. MyFC has the potential to change that.
