VC Bet have priced up Ebbsfleet United at 7/1 to be a football league club by the start of the 2009/2010 season after the North Kent club was taken over by the Myfootballclub website this morning.

 

The website has asked football fans from around the globe to contribute money to buy a football club to be run solely by the fans, and they have now made an offer to buy Ebbsfleet United of the Blue Square Premier.

 

Spokesman Dave Jenkins expects there to be a lot of interest in the club. He said: "This is ground breaking stuff and potentially it could put Ebbsfleet on the football map.

 

"They have done well already this season under Liam Daish and this could well inspire the club to challenge for one of the two promotion places."

 

Ebbsfleet currently lie in 9th in the table and the firm make them 80/1 to finish top, 10/1 to win promotion and 300/1 about them becoming a Premier League side by 2015.

 

On that note, time for bed.....
