There have been some strong words (& some just plain daft/ antagonistic ones too) on this forum over the last 12 hours or so.

I can understand feelings are running high and there are real concerns about the move - I too am nervous about how this will work & whether it will benefit the club in the long term - but I really do think it is unfair to judge MYFC based on some of the (supposed?) members posting on here.

There have been quite a few sensible posts from MYFC members as well, but these seem to be overlooked for the wind up posts.

Its just like the world today, where people are constantly looking for the worst and ignore the positive. You only have to look at the TV News or Newspapers to see what I mean - whenever theres a rare occurence such as a riot at an event, its splashed all over the news, yet when an event (such as Saturdays Lord Mayors Show in London) attracts huge multicultural crowds all enjoying themselves without a semblance of a problem, nothing is said.

Equally, we should bear in mind that there have been occasions when the odd one or two of our (again supposed)fans have posted utter drivel on opposing clubs message boards & we hate it when we are all branded as idiots as a result.

Our own message board has had some silly postings in the past from Hornchurch fans as well, but, whilst they may have their share of idiots, the vast majority are good people, who may get carried away at times, but on the whole are just backing their team, or engaging in friendly banter.

I am not judging the idea in this posting, just the people involved in MYFC - lets give the sensible ones a chance to see off the idiots & to prove they are genuine in their intentions towards our club.

Thank you.

I was alarmed to have the news greeted as a novelty item tacked on the to the end of the 10 o'clock news.

It was as if the BBC thought it an amusing little tale, akin to a skateboarding duck.

I hope that the unease that supporters of EUFC are quite rightly feeling will dissipate and, with time, disappear. This feels odd to us as well.

I hope that today's announcement proves ot be the beginning of a long and productive relationship.
